  1. Absolutely no idea. I'll have to boot my A8 disk for more info... ++ RC ++
  2. UFO was based on a Bristish TV show (I think). There's a very early demo version available for the A8 (with filled vectors!). ++ RC ++
  3. It was released in the UK by Americana, US Gold's budget line. I'm not sure whether American Eagle originally sold it in the US (like Ollie's Follies). ++ RC ++
  4. The only official version is the XE cartridge release (with intro screen, slightly enhanced graphics and secret warp). The 1984 game is a bootleg (seems complete though) and was never published. ++ RC ++
  5. Seems the game was never officially released but you can clearly see an A8 box in one of the Parker Brothers ads. ++ RC ++
  6. Just to be picky, it's Pastfinder. Pathfinder is by Gebelli Software. ++ RC ++
  7. What PAL market? At the time, the only important and well organized market was in Germany. The UK didn't really care about the A8: you had US Gold and Databyte distributing American stuff, adventure games, budget software and "some" conversions from time to time (Spindizzy, Arkanoid, Gauntlet...). That's all. ++ RC ++
  8. No, not Sexy Six, I know that game. I'm POSITIVE it was Sex Quix I saw mentioned somewhere. Was definitely Polish... ++ RC ++
  9. BTW, isn't there a Polish version called Sex Quix? Sikor? ++ RC ++
  10. Chimera doesn't use artifacting. Minute Man (do you mean Minit Man?) was never released for the A8. ++ RC ++
  11. A good game with nice graphics... for kids. ++ RC ++
  12. David, Marble Madness, Heart of Africa and Adventure Construction Set were never released for the A8. ++ RC ++
  13. Tempest, do you have details on other A8 prototypes? You know more than you're telling ++ RC ++
  14. I can't find the RX number for it but I remember reading a similar announcement. Wasn't Winter Games planned as well? ++ RC ++
  15. Tempest, looking forward to the A8 section of your site Atari 8-bit prototype stuff is mainly uncharted territory, I'm sure there are treasures out there! ++ RC ++
  16. No idea where I got it from, it was on a disk with other games. The copyright year is 1980! ++ RC ++
  17. What the hell is this one? ++ RC ++ saucer__atari_.zip
  18. I have it as RX8037. The game seems to be finished. What do you mean? It's been floating around for ages. Almost everybody with a disk drive has this game (I'm pretty sure I got it in 1984 or so). FYI, there are still HUNDREDS and HUNDREDS of tape and disk games that need to be "dumped". ++ RC ++
  19. To be more precise, SEGA may have released the game on disk but I highly doubt the programmers were asked to enhance anything... ++ RC ++
  20. There's only one version of the game for the A8. C64 owners have an enhanced disk version but we're stuck with that horrible cartridge release. ++ RC ++
  21. GATO was only released on cartridge for the A8. I believe the original version was for the PC, Amiga, Mac, ST (and possibly Apple and C64). ++ RC ++
  22. The version you are referring to is just the cartridge release dumped to disk. Additional RAM is needed because the file is too big for the memory of a standard 800 or XL machine. ++ RC ++
  23. World Karate Championship cheats: - "X1" to "X4" for speed - "ADZM" for new location. ++ RC ++
  24. Hey, Matterhorn is far from bad. The graphics are only average but the gameplay is OK. Well, not rock solid but quite acceptable still Springer is absolutely unplayable. Espial is so-so... ++ RC ++
  25. The two files on Homesoft's site are the tape versions of the game. There are only two backdrops on the cassette release: Sydney (side A) and Fuji Yama (side B). ++ RC ++
