  1. Do you mean Stargate? I don't know if the proto available is the final version but it kinda sucks IMO. Summer Games II and Winter Games were already in dealer catalogs, what happened? I once heard a rumor that Summer Games II was available in small quantities but so heavily protected that it never reached the pirate circuit... Other titles: Marble Madness, Impossible Mission, Rescue Raiders, Turrican, Great Giana Sisters, Driller, Gunship... Too many to list... ++ RC ++
  2. Good: Arkanoid - impossible to beat but the colors are great Ninja - game 99% identical to C64 counterpart Raid over Moscow - cut-down graphics but very playable Spindizzy - exactly like the C64 version Attack of the Mutant Camels - an improvement over the original Deflektor - excellent port Airball - very difficult but quite a good job Average: Pitstop II - incredibly slow compared to the C64 version Fight Night - a bit slow Barbarian - not very playable Conan - great music but Apple ][ graphics and animation Demon Attack - identical to the VCS original Bad: Green Beret - horrible conversion Congo Bongo - terrible port Monkey Magic - worst game ever? ++ RC ++
  3. Fantastic service from this place: http://strony.wp.pl/wp/j131atari/ ++ RC ++
  4. Turmoil, Fast Eddie, Alpha Shield, Worm War I... are practically identical on the VCS and 8-bit line. I really thought Squish'em! was a "straight" VCS port as well before I realized it didn't exist on that platform at all! The graphics really have a 2600 feel, that's why I'm a bit puzzled ++ RC ++
  5. http://home1.gte.net/leiterja/atari.html Anything up with this stuff? ++ RC ++
  6. Lovely presentation This is nitpicking but I hope the typos will get fixed: * MyDOS (not My Dos) * MyCopyR! (not Mycopyr!) * cartridge (not cartrige) * HowfenDOS (not Hawfen DOS). ++ RC ++
  7. Hi, Given the simplistic graphics of the Atari 8-bit version of Squish'em! (screenshot below) and the cartridge size (8K), I was wondering whether this game was originally meant as a VCS release... The graphics really look like 2600 stuff... ++ RC ++
