Starplex Controller NOS 50.00 shipped to U.S.

No worries, and yeah, thought about that later, that a permanent fix might not be where you were heading. No experience myself, with a sd2iec, but figured more knowledge than me would chime in, and get you set up, and look...it happened! Glad to see!

I think it might be mentioned in the owners manual, if you have access to that, but here's an on-line mention of how to do it: http://www.atarimagazines.com/compute/issue50/221_2_READERS_FEEDBACK_Commodore_Disk_Drive_Device_Number_Update.php

Bad experience with this vintage Commodore reseller.

Quick follow up. Seems it's a family member running the business now, as (according to some folks on other forums), Dean7878 has had some serious health issues as of late, so there's some new info to use as you like. -

Just a head up that there's a new user that's just begun posting on the Vic 20 Denial forums (StacyB), who is selling Vic-20 keys, springs etc, and they have a link to their website, which sells all sorts of other 8 bit parts, and that site is....http://www.80svc.com. Things that make you go...hmmmmm. -
No problem at all. Tons of great info on that site.

Ah, found some better info with hows and whys here, along with a bunch of other goodies: http://www.the-nextlevel.com/odyssey2/faq/essentials/#50, About 3/4 down the page: How can I replace my Odyssey²'s power supply? Luckily, you don't need an original Odyssey² power supply to run your console. Most electronics stores sell adjustable power supplies that you can use. Odyssey²'s power supply requirements are: 12v AC 600mA. However, Odyssey² consoles contain an internal bridge rectifier and 5v regulator, which means that it should be safe to use supplies that don't exactly match these specifications. It should be safe to use a power supply that provides anywhere from 9V to about 14V, AC or DC. Many Odyssey² players use power supplies from other, more common consoles. A standard 8-bit Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) power supply can be used on most Odyssey² consoles, just not the early models. If your Odyssey² has a round, female power port with a thin metal peg in the middle, it's compatible with an NES supply. If your console's power port is female, but smaller and lacking the metal peg, try an Atari 2600 supply. It should work! 22 Guess that explains why my NES adapter works...learn something new everyday it seems

Sorry, guess I didn't really answer your question there. Looking at the NES adapter, and yes, it is AC.: Input is AC 120V 80HZ 17W, and Output is AC 9V 1.8A (reading that right off the adapter itself). My O2 is the same as yours, with the hard wired controllers. Does it say DC somewhere on your system?

I've been using an original NES power supply with mine for a few years now, without any issues. No modifications required.

Picked up some CV homebrews from Twoquickcapri, and couldn't be happier with the transaction! Fast shipping, well packed, and everything in mint condition! Great to deal with!

Just in case you didn't see this in the marketplace yet Tempest http://atariage.com/forums/topic/247418-trs-80-model-3-model-4-and-more/

You might want to PM Tempest, I know he's been looking for a Model III or 4 for quite some time now.

What are the best pinball games on the C64?
Seagull replied to wongojack's topic in Commodore 8-bit Computers
Remember playing David's Midnight Magic, and Night Mission a lot..they were fun. Never got into the Pinball Construction Set (although, I would probably have more patience these days to play around with it). -
***Sorry ended***Huge Star Wars auction near me with boxes!
Seagull replied to icemanxp300's topic in Auction Central
It took me awhile to actually notice it was dated, myself. I've come across old auction listings on Goodwill sites, and they at least highlight 'auction closed' (which brings the excitement level to disappointment almost instantly, if it's something you've been looking for forever lol). Awesome, if you were able to turn a stupid high profit, and not regret it. I debated selling mine, but have hung on to my originals for almost 40 years now, plus have, over the years, picked up what I drooled over in the Sears and other catalogues, back in the day, that I just couldn't bring myself to do it...yet. Agreed that the market will settle, no doubt, but I think the one thing this latest movie (plus maybe the next couple) will do, is get a completely new generation interested in collecting the 'real' vintage figures, at which point, years down the road, I'll probably be ready to sell. I saw that, and would like to know myself. Wasn't sure what to say about it, as I didn't notice any accessories with it, like the sails, but quite possible it was complete, seeing as a lot of the figures looked to still have their weapons. Would actually like to know what everything went for...would be nice if that auction site posted that. -

Damn...was hoping I was wrong...was getting psyched up for a road trip lol! Lot 11a? Then yeah, that's the one I'm talking about. Maybe a grand would be stretch, but separate them into their respective lots (Droids/Ewoks), throw them on as no reserve auctions, and I'm pretty sure you'd get $500 for them. They look like they've got most, if not all their weapons, as well as their coins. Plus, like I said, the market has gone stupid. The damn cardbacks can even fetch a small fortune now. Watched an auction end last week with 3 cardbacks, that sold for $350... :-o I almost fell over with that one. Now, one was a Boba Fett card, and all three were crossover cards, (ESB, with ROTJ stickers applied), but COME ON! They're used, ratty cards! That's one reason I won't laugh at the value of SW stuff (or should say, what people are willing to shell out), no matter what condition. I guess if you wanted to ensure $500 for those lots, you could throw in the Amanaman figure that's in one of the other pics -

Uh...think you might have missed the auction by a month, assuming the auction date isn't 2016. -

More than 1 gem in that lot there. There's 1 picture of figures alone I estimate would fetch between $500 and $1000, on GreedBay. Regardless of the condition, of the boxes, and the dust/dirt on some of the toys, that would be a great loose collection to display, but since the Vintage SW market has gone nuts again...agreed there likely won't be any $10 sales there. -
My first transaction here on AA, and it went off without a hitch! I'm familiar with Mayhem's reputation from other forums, and can say, without a doubt, he's a stand up guy! Extremely fast international shipping on a couple of well packed games, and received them in excellent condition. Couldn't be happier!

Fairly new user here on Atariage, but if if I'm not too late for this party, then I'd definitely be interested in one of these power supplies!
