Made it out of Iron Keep alive!!! The Dark Spirit I used the game mechanics to my advantage, as soon as I went up the ladder I went straight back down and legged it, he stopped in the hall on my side of the guillotine so stood at the end of the hall to make him chase me again, he then stopped at the bottom of the stairs and was at his tether point so hit him then. To take him down it took all 10 lightning spears I have, use these when up against heavily armored foes and I do play melee in the souls games so magic / miracles aren't my strong point. I am now at the first bonfire in The Gutter, first time I was there got through it without any issues on first try, this time though I've fell to my death a few times and fallen to a few of the enemies, probably not being careful enough and being overly familiar so I need to just creep around the area until I make it to Black Gulch and the final main soul I need and light the 4th primal bonfire.

I'm now working my way through NG+, quite a bit tougher as you get the normal enemies in an area now that are actually Dark Spirits and once killed if you leave the area or die they actually respawn. The Alonne Captains for example in Iron Keep or 2 of the Sickle weilders before you reach the Dark Spirit near the Skeleton Lords in Huntsmans Copse. They have also added a Dark Spirit that has a mace just below the 3rd bonfire at Iron Keep, my shield doesn't absorb / stop any of the damage he deals (blocks all but 100% of physical damage normally), going to try and lure him back to the corridor with the guillotine and take pot shots at him with a bow, that's if he will follow down the ladder of course!

I got extra ram from Rupert at Atari ST Freakz, reliable and quick delivery, he has third party mice as well as official ones : http://st-freakz.co.uk/page6.html Send him an email (address on the home page / tab on his site) with your requirements and you can pay via Bank Transfer or Paypal which is always handy. You can't use an Amiga mouse on the ST and vice versa unfortunately, there are a few models available which have a switch on the underside for use on each machine but you will pay more for them (I have a Quickshot mouse which has the switch but its attached to my Amiga and used often).

It literally looks like a disk fast loader seeing as it automatically runs that command, there were a few of these carts around at the time, stuff like the Action Replay carts had fast loader option but there were also dedicated fast load only carts like the Epyx one for example. Why not load a disk game and time it without the cartridge attached, then do the same with the cartridge attached and see if it loads up quicker. When you press the button do you get a menu or anything or does it just reset the machine back to Commodore Basic screen
