I couldn't help but notice that hard drive prices are going through the roof. It seems that the recent flooding in Thailand (where much of the manufacturing is done) has people worried about shortages, so if you're in the market for a hard drive, wait until the prices level off.

  I don't check prices on external drives as often, but since they're the exact same hard drives inside an external enclosure, I'd imagine they would be affected also.
