Okay, I have just lived through 11:11am on 11/11/11 (at least in my time zone). Contrary to some superstitious peoples' expectiations, the world doesn't seem to have come to an end.

  There probably was, but not around here. That's why I always chuckle at speculation about what the "end times" will be like: earthquakes, floods, wars, rumors of wars, etc. Was there ever a point in history in which all of these things were NOT happening, somewhere?
