  1. I just gave a live presentation of vintage computers from my collection to a class of college freshmen: an Apple ][ and a TI 99/4A, complete with a demonstration of loading programs from cassette tape. It's always interesting to see their astounded reactions to such "primitive" technology.

      Yeah, and they weren't very fragile or lasted long either. You should have done the 'how many things you can connect' to the TI. :)

      You also have to consider things from the perspective of your college kids -- most are 18, right? They grew up with the internet and cell phones and texting. It's good that you do a class like that so they can see how far things have progressed in a little time. By the time I was 12 I knew DOS and BASIC. :)
