I bought a pack of roasted almonds from a vending machine today. On the back was printed an allergen warning: "This product contains almonds." I'm trying to imagine a scenario in which that warning could possibly be informative and helpful, but so far I can't think of one.
Look at it this way...Just because you buy a hamburger from McDonalds doesn't mean there's actual hamburger meat in it. Maybe there are similar almond products that call themselves almonds but really contain tofu.
