  It's shocking how much computer prices have fallen in the last 30 years and what they gained in power. My parents bought me as a college graduation gift a 'powerful' PC in August 98 -- Dell Pent II 400 Mhz with 19 inch monitor, CD-ROM drive, Voodoo video card, and 250 gig HD and Ethernet card and Windows 98 -- $3000!
