My Thanksgiving project this year (besides eating dinner): restoring a 7800! I had to replace the TIA, the 6532, and all the console switches, but it's working now! The last step is installing an A/V mod ...

  How much of a pain in the rear end is it to replace those console switches? My 7800's power switch is getting finicky.

  Not too difficult. There are four legs on each switch, two per side. To make it easier, I heated each of the two pairs with my soldering tip and pried them out of the holes once the solder was liquid. I then cleaned out the holes later and soldered in the new switches.
