I'm on the verge of permanently blacklisting sites which play those annoying self-starting videos as soon as you load the page. It's a crappy design practice that's spreading like the plague.

  The worse ones are the ones that load a player and start a video after 15 seconds or so. You'll be half-way down the page wondering where the noise is coming from.

  While I don't have a blacklist going. I kinda sorta mostly know which ones to avoid, by way of not using them and forgetting about them.

  I use firefox, noscript, and flash is turned off. A lot of sites are annoying to read with a lot of animation and annoying text pop up bar that 'remove object' extension have a hard time removing.
