Maybe I'm just out of touch, but I'm not getting the massive appeal of Minecraft. Whenever I see my nephews and their friends play it, all they do is make buildings and other shapes out of the blocks. If you take the "Video Graffiti" mode of 2600 Surround, make it 3D, change the background into a green field, and add different-colored blocks, you've pretty much got Minecraft, as far as I can tell.

  I know what you mean... I'm so use to "blowing things up" in games that just building stuff instead seems boring. Especially when you have to build a shelter before those things come out at night and kill your defenseless self! But I won't knock anyone who likes Minecraft and glad kids are enjoying it. Right now I'm getting my Crafting kicks from Fallout 4 when I'm not out shooting stuff.
