Maybe I'm just out of touch, but I'm not getting the massive appeal of Minecraft. Whenever I see my nephews and their friends play it, all they do is make buildings and other shapes out of the blocks. If you take the "Video Graffiti" mode of 2600 Surround, make it 3D, change the background into a green field, and add different-colored blocks, you've pretty much got Minecraft, as far as I can tell.

  I didn't get it at first either because I only ever saw my nephews play in the create mode. There's a survival mode that's more of a proper game, where you explore, interact with villagers and fight enemies.

  I couldn't get into much either. More fun looking at the creations rather than making them. Kind of like an architectural tour!
