Well, my primary computer monitor just died, less than two months after my old secondary monitor died. I think it's time to quit using refurbished monitors.

  In the past I always had computers die long before the monitors did...(But that was the old school, big, long, monitors...)

  Monitors have always been the longest-lived component for me, too. I had a 14" SVGA CRT monitor that lasted something like twelve years; I only upgraded because I wanted a bigger screen. But with flat-panel displays, you're lucky to get five years out of one before it dies. These refurbished monitors lasted about three years, so I guess I was lucky.
