  1. My "relationship" with AT&T has been pure pain from beginning to end. I canceled my DSL service and was told to return the modem through UPS within two weeks to avoid an extra fee. My local UPS pickup location wouldn't take it, and the nearest UPS Store is apparently in some obscure hole in the wall in an unfamiliar area. On the last day, after getting lost twice trying to find the place, I just took the modem back home and smashed it.

      my friend went throug the same thing with AT&T and the bizarre UPS locations. we feel ya.

      While I hate the whole means to it, I bet if you made a "facebook" or "youtube" video of this you would get an appoligy from them and no charge even for smashing the modem. The Court of public oppinion does funny things to conglomerates looking to avoid bad press.
