I mentioned a few prominent movie anniversaries recently, so here's another: "Star Trek III: The Search for Spock", which premiered 35 years ago this Saturday, on June 1, 1984. A good, solid, underappreciated Trek movie.

  I didn't get to see it until it was on TV, but I had the soundtrack album. Excellent, soulful score by James Horner.

  That was my introduction to Star Trek. In retrospect, not a great film (especially not a great Trek film), but a worthy Nimoy outing and good SFX and music.
