  1. I just got some 5200 games from Venezuela. Not only did someone (presumably an inspector) completely trash the boxes while slashing them open, but they even opened one of the cartridges! (The screw is missing, the back is cracked, and the bottom and side are marred with pry marks.)

      ^ Yes, I keep hearing the horror stories about their situation, both on the news and from a colleague of mine who left Venezuela to come to the US.  It's why I don't mind ordering games from the sellers down there, because at least they get some income, but customs is making it impossible.

      ^^ It's also puzzling to me that inspectors bother to manually open game boxes and cartridges.  I figure they must be looking for drugs, and that somebody must have tried smuggling some inside a game at least once for them to do this at all.  I agree that using dogs would be much more efficient and reliable.

      ...same bad experience for me, a few years ago they destroyed an Atari 2600 cartridge.
      I thought it was Italian customs but now I wonder if the packages are checked directly in Venezuela before the expatriation.
