    MR. TURTLE has to collect 5 pearls.

    I appreciate this contest being held and this has given me motivation to finsih this project. Here is a video of the current work in progress.

    I find the AIR snap back distracting.

    Instead of redrawing the Air the way you do to keep it centred, have you tried just keeping track of where it is along the 20 cards and updating the bar (accounting for wraparound)

    Like Super Cobra does.

    Due to a pulled quad I will not in fact be doing this but rather will be showing off an art installation entitled: A Retrospective of Rev:A study of Tasteful Nudes in 2020.
    I expect this will be very successful.

    How the hell did you pull anything, let alone a quad? You haven't left your house for 6 months 😉

    Maybe it was lifting one of your many Keyboard Components

    One suggestion for nanochess is to have all the text that can be invoked by typing only Intycolor.exe in a command line into a new notepad to refer to. I'm not sure many people are aware of typing Intycolor in command prompt will give a big list of command.  And clicking on it in windows will dismiss it immediately, maybe insert something like press any key to continue message.  I usually boot up Run and type or select the pretyped command of IntyCOLOR, usually it dismiss it when it done and I have a new .bas file. It may help people figure IntyCOLOR out better.  I think having a seperate manual for Intycolor would be good.  It is a great program, and I use it to transfer tilesets to Intycolor.

    I'd agree, the command line is a lost tool/concept. I have a staff of 10 developers, any of them under 45 have no clue what it is. I do all my Inty Dev work with the command line and batch files (and judicial use of PAUSE ;-) )

    I'd LOVE that!  Definitely going to do a Vancouver trip and get cmart & OEB Pete (and others!) in a room together playing original Intellivision games... and of course... maybe even some "new" ones.

    ;)

    The only problem with that plan is @cmart604 never plays his games, he is too busy Scrooge McDucking in his Inty-Dungeon.

    Like this, but with Intellivision games and manuals ;-)

    And yes... many times they insist and demand that I step down as CEO.  They even write e-mails and send letters to other people at the company!!

    I bet those letters are a great source of amusement around the company. I'd collect them all in an e-book for sale after the Amico is released and give the proceeds to some charity.

    ... so easy to come up with titles ;-)

    Thinking on invoking teams for the contest. So asking for opinions from @Nyuundere, @Black_Tiger, @First Spear, @catsfolly , @Kiwi and @CrazyBoss

    So far I'm making my mind on three ideas:

    * Standalone production. (no limits, classic contest)

    * Small production. (limited to the $5000-$6fff memory area)

    * Team production. (production made by two or more people, probably one programmer, one graphist, and one musician).

    And maybe a themed contest:

    * Summer theme.

    * Space theme.

    * Comedy theme.

    * Adventure theme.

    I like the idea of the Small production category. I'll help judge again.

    Here's a question folks!

    What name do you like better...

    Armor Battle or Battle Tanks?

    Armor Battle was the stand alone that showed the tanks in like a 3/4 perspective.

    Battle Tanks is what it was called in Triple Action (which is more of the style of the new game we're doing).

    Which name would you prefer and why?

    Thanks!

    Why not

    Armor Battle Tanks?

    IntyBASIC takes advantage of the 2nd sound chip and extra controllers if instructed by the programmer. If the game is run over an Intellivision without ECS, then no problems happen except the missing music or/and unability to use the extra controllers.

    I currently don't remember if there are IntyBASIC games using it.

    I've made a demo of music for ECS

    Ultimate Pong has an ECS 4 controller mode. I believe there are some homebrews that feature enhanced ECS music but can't remember which off hand. There are also 4 games nearing completion in the pipeline that support ecs music if available but they are single or 2 player co-op games. 2 of them will only be offered as roms via encrypted Luigi files if they are offered as roms at all, the other 2 are up in the air rom wise.

    I think it's a bit lame, but after the little flash of anger from the fanboys it'll all blow over and I'll be able to get on with the real work. I have to remind myself that I don't owe anyone any explanations, and it really doesn't come off well to try to explain when someone made up their mind about your motivations back in 2015, three years before you even registered on the forum.

    I does appear you are tone-deaf to the many responses in this thread, not just the ones from Opcode and CollectorVision. We "fanboys" as you derogatorily refer to us, are the ones that shell out our cash for ColecoVision related things and have kept the console alive. Alienate enough of us and you will find that we don't owe you any of our support or money such that when the cool new features you hint about come around, no-one will develop games that use that feature. That attitude will also spill into the Intellivision world as well if you decide to use the same attitude there.

    Maybe not, but I speak as a moderator of AtariAge and I am here to keep the forums as drama-free as possible. If you want to test me on this, go for it, but as I said before, it will not end well for any parties contributing to the drama.  So I suggest whatever it is you are about to start ends right here or I will end it for you. Understood?  Probably not, but at least I tried.

    If I recall, one of the big issues with the j-box was the bad audio buzz people reported but was never rectified or acknowledged. Adding new hardware to these retro systems isn't as trivial as it may seem. Just ask the 7800 homebrew hardware makers or Albert what kind of hell testing across the various evil versions of the 7800 motherboard is. Even the Colecovision has variant quirks.
