  1. Actually, a friend has decided he wants one so I'll take the last copy also, as well as one copy of Pitfall II Arcade. I'll send you an email.
  2. I'd like to reserve one of Princess Quest, thanks
  3. I have a couple of serious (non-flame bait) questions regarding this. What is so special about this printer at 100,000, let alone 3 million? Are your costs per box cheaper than local printers, even after shipping the final product from this printer to you? Is the quality of printing better than other available methods of printing boxes? Does it die cut the boxes? I don't have any of your boxes to compare against other recent releases from TeamPixelboy, CollectorVision or AA, so I can't tell if there is a difference.
  4. Free is great, but considering this thread maybe your ROMs should be sold (with imbedded buyer info) like Carl Mueller Jr is doing right now. As great as the LTO Flash! is, I feel that it will only bring out more people that complain about CIB releases, whatever the price.
  5. Well, those of us that would be interested in the adapter will have to buy at least 2...or more. It would be nice if they were official mass produced items.
  6. Sky Bumper was the sequel http://www.arcade-museum.com/game_detail.php?game_id=9566
  7. Awesome news! I can't wait!
  8. Looks fantastic! I haven't noticed in any of the videos, but are you able to go backwards like in the Colecovision version to change the screen if you don't like the current one?
  9. Bought a Tron joystick from him, he was very accommodating to my unique shipping request. Item was very well packed. I would definitely deal with him again!
  10. I'm all for rolling my 3 prepaid smurfs into 3 of this, I may change which box I want once I see them, thanks
  11. I have always liked the way Coleco's arcade ports had a picture of the arcade cabinet on the front. My all time favorite arcade game was/is Stern's Frenzy. I managed to pick up one pre-Ebay for $250 22 years ago. I still have it in my home office. I've kept it as it was the first (and only) game I could play forever on 1 quarter and I played it lots as a teenager. I just picked of an incredibly well preserved boxed copy of the ColecoVision port (Big thanks to PixelBoy!) Here it is next to the arcade inspiration... A couple of things immediately struck me. No photoshop in the 80's so they would have photographed a real machine, but the one they used is different from mine and others I have seen in person: The box machine is missing the side art. The Frenzy logo is solid orange but the original arcade logo fades from yellow to orange as can be seen in both my marquee and the marquee on the box. These are minor, but something else is missing that really annoys me for some reason...can anyone else see it? My camera picked up some phantoms for this close up and makes the box look worse than it is (there is no scratch under the coin door on the actual box, nor is the CRT of the game speckled like the pic shows)
  12. 1942 1943 I played 1942 for uncountable hours when it came out.
  13. So I helped a friend of mine test all his older systems tonight, hooked them to a Samsung 25 inch tube tv and a samsung 62" LCD tv. Spent the night popping in random carts and tested an Atari VCS, Intellivision, and 2 ColecoVisions. One of the ColecoVisions will need some of the common repairs, the other that we pulled from it's original box was in perfect condition. It was a system one of his friends had for about a year before putting it away in a closet and moving on to the NES. 15 or so years later it was passed on to my friend. Inside that box were these wholesale order sheets from 1982. According to my friend, one of his childhood friend's father had a company that could order ColecoVisons and games at cost. I love the lack of area codes in the phone numbers. Note the line referring to the "Conversion Module for Intellivision Cartridges (Jan./83)" Also the phantom unreleased games like "Ripcord" Tunnels and trolls, suggested retail of $70.00 Canadian!
  14. I would think you could include the Jungle King title screen and character and make it a secret, hold down a keypad button while turning the system on or something to select Jungle King...
  15. Ok Jungle Boy was the Taito prototype name http://www.arcade-museum.com/game_detail.php?game_id=8256
  16. Funny, the KLOV entry also mentions a version called Jungle Boy...I wonder if was just a name variant on the title screen. I can think of a few other graphics hacks that might be worth doing.
  17. Very good documentary, well worth the purchase price. His Get Lamp documentary on Zork-style interactive fiction is even better. http://getlamp.com/
  18. Yep, that's more like it. I was a little confused by the vines as I had screens shots of that game on my hard drive that I took myself years ago with some emulator.
  19. Yes, that's why I didn't refer to carts and boxes in my original post. It was intended as more of a technical question instead cart and box releases. Maybe I should posted in the Programming sub-form.
