So I helped a friend of mine test all his older systems tonight, hooked them to a Samsung 25 inch tube tv and a samsung 62" LCD tv. Spent the night popping in random carts and tested an Atari VCS, Intellivision, and 2 ColecoVisions. One of the ColecoVisions will need some of the common repairs, the other that we pulled from it's original box was in perfect condition. It was a system one of his friends had for about a year before putting it away in a closet and moving on to the NES. 15 or so years later it was passed on to my friend. Inside that box were these wholesale order sheets from 1982. According to my friend, one of his childhood friend's father had a company that could order ColecoVisons and games at cost. I love the lack of area codes in the phone numbers. Note the line referring to the "Conversion Module for Intellivision Cartridges (Jan./83)" Also the phantom unreleased games like "Ripcord" Tunnels and trolls, suggested retail of $70.00 Canadian!

I would think you could include the Jungle King title screen and character and make it a secret, hold down a keypad button while turning the system on or something to select Jungle King...

Funny, the KLOV entry also mentions a version called Jungle Boy...I wonder if was just a name variant on the title screen. I can think of a few other graphics hacks that might be worth doing.

Yep, that's more like it. I was a little confused by the vines as I had screens shots of that game on my hard drive that I took myself years ago with some emulator.

Yes, that's why I didn't refer to carts and boxes in my original post. It was intended as more of a technical question instead cart and box releases. Maybe I should posted in the Programming sub-form.

I find the vertical vine graphics on the Gameboy version much clearer than the MSX. There is also a Japanese version of the Gameboy game with goofy SD intro graphics.

Coinops 6 just came out, I'm just dowloading it now...85gig.

I just use Slice Audio File Splitter and cut them into 20 minutes chunks, copy them to the media player in my jeep and listen to to them. Makes it easy to find where I left off if my kids change to a music folder.

I'll add another rant: as a Canadian I will never buy anything that goes thru Ebay's Global Shipping program. They take well packed items from the seller, open the package, and repack it with as little packing material as possible. Then they ship to Canada (or wherever.) I've had packages well wrapped in bubble wrap in a large box that were repacked in "official" Ebay GSP boxes, with no packing materials.The GSP's customs and duties also is inaccurrate. Took the chance 3 times, 3 times burned. Never again.

When a store ran out of something, they would place an order with central. If central had it, they would throw it into the cage for that city. Only when the cage was full would they then put it on the truck to send to the city, which would then ship to the store...but only if the the store's cage at the city's warehouse was full...
