  1. That's all beyond me. I would love to see it happen one day.
  2. Thats way more detailed then I thought was possible. With that type of wave is it still possible to have the same number of enemies?
  3. Did you give it another shot yet?
  4. Man, I sure have a long way to go to catch up. If anyone wants to part with any, I know a good home where they will be loved like a member of the family. I have a few good homebrews that I got from here at Atariage.I mostly concentrate on collecting hacks.
  5. I don't know if a blocky wave would kill the gameplay (too jittery?). Maybe just a static picture of a wave??(but that would be blocky too) Another idea is to break the wave into 3 sections (left. center, right) and just have each section rise and fall. This may be the best solution.
  6. Nope. It's beyond me, I'm only a hacker not a coder. Maybe someday.
  7. One of my favorite games is Wavy Navy for various computer platforms. Looking at the screenshots, Would a version be possible on the Atari 2600?? The waves have a constant rolling effect from left to right, I think that would be the biggest problem.
  8. Sounds Great!! I'll have to check it out later...
  9. Packrat can offer any hack that I do, and they have always contacted me in advance to make sure of each one and they have gone out of their way to produce new labels for each one. I don't know, AtariAge does not offer any of my hacks. If someone else wanted to offer one of my hacks, then I would expect the same that Packrat does. I really don't understand this topic. I have bought games from Atariage as well as Packrat and they both do an excellent job. I will continue to buy any game that looks cool in the future regardless of who offers it. Pricing is a touchy subject. Competition is not a bad thing, and a dollar here or there is no big deal. If there is a problem between the two companies (which I doubt) then that is for them to work out directly.
  10. I hope there are no hard feelings against whoever. Limiting the number of hacks being sold is (being a homebrewer and hacker myself) IMO is a good idea. I was'nt refering to having my hacks sold, just having them put on cart for myself. I have never made a profit off of selling my hacks. The most exspensive hack that I will be selling is Death Race for $16.50 and it comes with a new Death Race movie DVD(20 copies). I also understand that this is still a small market and flooding it with every hack made would be a bad thing, that and cost is why I limit my hacks to 20 copies. I hold no hard feelings against anyone here at AtariAge or anywhere else. I just think it's great that other people have the same interest in this hobby that I do.
  11. AtariAge and Packrat Videogames can both make a cart of a hack for you. I have never used AtariAge, but I can say that Packrat does a terrific job. I corrected the color on your Popeyes forehead. save_olive.zip
  12. C'mon Saikyo. Where's that screenshot showing that you broke 500?
  13. I have never really played Superman. It's kind of like ET, I start a game and then wonder what is going on... I guess I should read the instruction book someday...
  14. Very cool indeed!!! For some reason, I have never played Pick Up either. I"ll have to track down the original and try it out. Great theme with the characters.
  15. I wish I could have gone. I have seen a few pictures that other people have posted, it looked like a great place to be. As far as the Crystal carts, I think it was more of a time issue then anything else. The Cosmic Bowling label has an Afro Disco guy on it when the game clearly has an Alien bowler. It was too late to change it before the show. I don't get any royalties or anything from my hacks(except a copy for myself). Packrat does a great job with the carts and manuals and they showed an interest in my hacks when I was ignored by other people that I contacted. I hope they had a good show, they deserve it!
  16. You have never seen the piles of bad hacks that I have done. I go over a sprite many times before it looks decent. If you have been to my website, then you will see that several of my early hacks were Ant games. I learned early on that bugs(or Space Invaders) are the easiest graphics to make. That is why I have used the Space Invader type enemies so often. I recommend doing a hack on one of the following games: Megamania Demon Attack Pheonix Just make some weird looking bug creatures for enemies. You're doing a great job, I look forward to seeing more.
  17. Keep going. It looks good so far. I went back to look at my PopKong hack and it had a really horrible looking Bluto instead of an ape. As you can see above, I put the ape back in. PICS BELOW are from Out of Gas's Mr. Strong Hack.
  18. It's amazing how many different ideas I have already tried. Here is one called PopKong that goes with Out of Gas's Mr Strong. I updated the Ape a little. popkong.zip
  19. Thanks Thomas, I was typing too fast to catch that in the original posting Success!! You guys are the best. It sure beats changing dots in Hack-o-Matic. Now, How can I horribly mutilate Donkey Kong?!!!
  20. Look at my disassembly and you should be able to change the jump altitude and length of jump easily. Very nice Disassembly. I've never had luck with compiling disassemblies. I tried to run DASM on the Donkey Kong disassembly, no luck. Any idea what I did wrong?? I used Wordpad to make the changes. 21. I had a really nice fireball sprite, but it was too high to jump over. I had to lower the jump animation by 1 pixel to keep Marios head looking normal when he jumps. I then had to lower the barrels and the Rivet Bugs on level 2 by 1 pixel also.
  22. Just gave it a quick try....
  23. You'll know that your really good when you can break 500!
