Back during the Commodore 64 days I was one of the biggest pirates on the East Coast. (Captain Zap/BBS Forbidden Planet). When I look back at that, Yes, that was un-ethical. I was stealing brand new copy-righted content and distibuting it for financial gain. With Hacking, I have stated all along that I do it for fun and not for financial gain. Each Hack that I have released on cart was actually done as a financial loss. Along the way I have stepped on a few toes of other Hackers but I have gone out of my way to seek their OK after building on their previous work. I would never release a Hack of a new ORIGINAL Homebrew out of respect for the author ( who is most likely a member of this community at AA). I do have Hacks of most of the Homebrew games for my personal use, but will not release them. If an author of an old Atari game asked me to pull a hack of their game, then I would do it immediately. Rob Fulop of Demon Attack fame is my favorite progammer of the Atari era, when I was doing my first ever Hack Extinction! I tried to get an OK from him before releasing it and never recieved a reply. So you see, it's all Rob's fault for not stoping me at the very beginning!! Man I rambled a little bit there... Hacking. Is it un-ethical? Maybe in a few cases. Over-all it's just more of a gray area. BTW. I do own original copies of all of the games I have hacked. I no longer pirate software and probably have one of the largest original game collections around.

As far as I know, Patches are 100% legal.

I don't really know what the problem is, but it is nothing to get so worked up about. Just go to my website below, it is filled with Atari 2600 Hacks and I have'nt lost 1 sec of sleep. Check around, Space Invaders is the most common game to Hack. I have collected over 30 Hacks based on Space Invaders alone. I have never heard of one person having any troble posting a Hack. (Unless it is from another Hacker ). I don't know who you are getting your info from (or how old you are), but this seems like a big over-reaction and some of the other guys are just having some fun with you(with you, not at you). You're Space Invader Hack was a very well done job, it's a shame that it looks like we won't be seeing anything else from you. If you want some black and white answers to some questions about hacking, you can e-mail me and I'll give you some info.

Made a label for the hack:

Is it possible to use the CBS Ram Plus carts to put a Supercharger game in cartridge form? I have not checked into the specs of either one, just thought I would ask before I wasted my time.

I think you are a little confused with another subject.

Intellivision Lives!.....But for how long? You control a fleet of mobile Intellivision Blasters at the bottom of the screen, under constant attack by wave after wave of Atari Bad Guys. Your goal is to accumulate points by knocking out as many Atari Enemies as possible, before your fleet is destroyed. Can the Intellivision Fleet survive the onslaught of Atari? Can you name the enemies on each level? Just a warning, I have made it more difficult. intellivision_lives.zip

Great Minds think the same thoughts. I played both of them and I think your version is the better of the two. Your ghost look better then the ones I have.

When I get some free time I will convert the rest of the colors. It's really funny, instead of finishing this one I have made different version with characters from other games. I have Pac-Attack(Pac-Men attacking a Ghost),Ghost Attack(obviously the reverse of the first one), Have A Nice Day(Frown faces attacking a happy face), Ford VS Chevy (Truck Wars), New color version of Headhunter(Skulls attacking a headless Skeleton), Fuji Fighter(Atari symbols attacking), Space Invaders the Real Sequel(what Galaxian really is). And a few more that are so wrong that I won't mention them. See, I really do spare you guys from a lot of my bad hacks. Well, most of them.

Can you put the BIN back up?? I would like to see what it is like.

I have been getting a few e-mails about missing out on the Hacks that I offer on cartridge. If you want to guarantee yourself a copy, just sign the Guest Book at my website. I will e-mail all members first about a new release before it is offered anywhere else. I may be able to offer a few more Death Race Cart and Death Race DVD packages to members in April(5 or less).

Allright, I could'nt help myself. I started fooling around with Galaxian to make a Vector Version. I really don't have the time to go thru all the code, so here is what I have. If someone can finish converting all the colors to green, please do. Or just post the locations if they are known. Need to change: Score Color Bullet Color Lives Remaining Color and get rid of the red eyes The color on the game over screen that has the Galaxian can be changed also. ---Not A Finished Hack (WIP)--- galaxvec.zip

I think a vector version should be done. Anyone want to give it a shot before I do?
