  1. Yeah, I saw that and have listened to a few more songs, but it's still not entirely clear how the songs are produce and recorded.

    ..Al

    From The CD inside cover:

Music was created on a stock 8bit Atari 130XE computer only. Stereo extension (two POKEY's) using Stereo Double Chaos Music Composer software by DATRI (David Spilka), based on CMC 2.0.

That means nothing to me but it does say two POKEY's.

My name is Ash. Close as I can figure it the year is 1300 AD. It wasn't always like this... I had a real life, once.

I had a wonderful girlfriend, Linda. Together we drove to a small cabin in the mountains. It seems an archaeologist had come to this remote place to translate and study his latest find: Necronomicon ex Mortis, the Book of the Dead. Bound in human flesh and inked in blood, this ancient Sumarrian text contained bizarre burial rites, funerary incantations and demon resurrection passages. It was never meant for the world of the living. The book awoke something dark in the woods. It took Linda, and then it came, for me. It got into my hand and it went bad, so I lopped it off at the wrist. But that didn't stop it. It came back. Big time.

For God's sake! How do you stop it?!

    ARMY OF DARKNESS

    They're coming! The Deadites approach!

There's so damn many of them. Maybe... just maybe my boys can stop them from gettin' the book. Yeah, maybe I'm a Chinese jet pilot.

    - Limited Edition signed and numbered card

  3. Neo,

Thanks so much for doing that!

Love me some Air Sea Battle in Black -- Saturday is Atari night.

    Thank you al.

Wish I had noticed it sooner.

I prefer the black backgrounds as well. There are a few reason why Atari stayed away from black backgrounds as much as possible. The most popular is that In the early days of Atari the upper management wanted to show that the Atari 2600 was a COLOR Video Game System.

From my experience with the RF hook-up, color back grounds don't show static lines as bad as black does. If you use the old switch box you will have static.

  4. neotokeo2001: what camera and settings did you use? Mine for the most part turned out to be total garbage (despite dialing in the right focus on this old EOS Rebel). Also, sorry for missing just about everyone that went to the event. I was only able to go Friday.

Convention lighting is horrible and washes everything out. I put my camera on the sports setting where if you hold down the button it takes multiple pictures. I took over 900 pictures with about half being worth keeping. Nikon Coolpix L620. Typical small digital camera.

Here are all the acceptable pictures. It should be set for public on FaceBook.

  5. I almost forgot to mention that RangerG brought me a nice C=1701 monitor. Great shape and awesome picture and sound!

My photographer skills are not that good, looks way better in person.

  7. I had a great time at Free Play Florida! It was great meeting some people from AtariAge. pr0k, TrekMD, PacManPlus, NightSprinter and several more. Fat Albert and the other games were a big success. Big thanks to pr0k for setting me up. My family could not believe other people had an interest in the Atari 2600. I have over 700 pictures that I took that I will be posting on my FaceBook page. I will post some on here when I get a chance.

Bob, I missed out on seeing your Atari 7800 double-ender games. When I had a chance to get to the console room there was a lonely empty Atari 7800.

  8. Hey guys. Sorry about the shipping delays. I have been out of town for the last 4-5 days and off the net. All remaining copies will ship tomorrow. They should have shipped last week but I had too many things going on. Everything up to 42 was already shipped. If you have not received it let me know and I will look into it.

The Fat Albert box is an off-white, lite gray/rose mixture. It may look pinker under certain light.
