ATARI MEMORY MATCH Card set available now
neotokeo2001 replied to neotokeo2001's topic in Atari 2600
I will probably send in an order for the printer on Friday (03-20). Anyone who orders after that will have to wait longer. I will offer the cards through next week and that will be it for now with future releases on the horizon. -
ATARI MEMORY MATCH Card set available now
neotokeo2001 replied to neotokeo2001's topic in Atari 2600
Everyone who orders this set will get an extra pair of match cards that can be any image that they would like. It can be another game box, a picture of their car, an apple. Anything that you want as a bonus pair of cards is fine. I don't make the cards so keep it clean or it will probably get rejected. -
ATARI MEMORY MATCH Card set available now

It is crazy what people are allowed to register. I will come up with something different for the next edition. -
The Other Guy: The comparison is OK with me. My version is just a simple Match type game with an Atari flavor. I wanted it to be that way so my Grand-kids (8,5) could play it along with me. I am planning to have an Arcade game version to sell at Florida Freeplay in November and made myself a few decks with Atari boxes as a sample to see what could be done. It is cool that Retrory is similar but very different, I could not play it with my Family without helping them a lot to identify what the sprites are, I even have to think about a few of them. I went with the mini-cards because to me Match is a card game and the smaller size allows you room to place all the cards without taking up a large area on the table or floor. The kids are playing the game now and it sure is strange to hear them talking about Atari games. They have tablets so they really have little interest in the Atari games outside of a few like Go Fish. By the way, apemaster does great work and I can't recommend his services enough to everyone.

ATARI MEMORY MATCH: Memory has long been a favorite game for all generations. It is easy to play, everyone from adults to really young children can play with ease. It requires observation, concentration and a good memory to win. The game is designed to be played by a single player or as many people as you like that will take turns. OBJECT OF THE GAME: The object of the game is to collect the most matching pairs. A matching pair is the two game cards in the deck that are identical. Cards included in the STARTER SET: The Legacy Edition are The first releases for the Atari 2600 from Atari, Activision and Imagic. Air-Sea Battle Basic Math Blackjack Combat Indy 500 Starship Video Olympics Surround Street Racer Dragster Fishing Derby Checkers Boxing Demon Attack Star Voyager Trickshot (*) This is a prototype edition to determine if there is enough interest in the cards to produce them. This prototype card set is 32 cards (16 pairs) and the deck is shrink wrapped. The price for this set is $10 plus shipping. If there is enough interest to move forward the final version will come shrink wrapped in a custom box with game graphics. Future releases would come in separate series of 32 cards each and could include game screens, cartridges and whatever else we come up with. There could also be future sets for other systems. As a prototype owner each person who orders a set can choose anything ATARI related and will get an extra pair of cards with their image. Also everyone who orders this set will get $5 off any future set. All suggestions are welcome. This is a prototype set and things can be changed for a final release version.

HUNGER SHARK (Atari 2600) Shipped!
neotokeo2001 replied to neotokeo2001's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
Update: Cartridges are being produced and I am just waiting on that to finish before taking payments. Hopefully by the end of next week. There are still some copies of the Normal (Blue) Boxed and the Cartridge and manual only versions. Once payments are being accepted the reserve is over and the prices go up $5 each. -
This is basically how it happened for me. I moved on to the Commodore 64 and Amiga computers for years. During "The Crash" I noticed a lot of bargain bins in Kay Bee and Lionel stores loaded with games and even remember a pallet full of brand new Vectrex systems for $40 each, there had to be at least 20 there and I bought two. I have every game that I ever bought and did buy any games that I did not already have. Looking back I wished I had bought almost everything since most games were $5 or less. It was weird seeing games appear for a few dollars in Groceries and Pharmacies. I really did not get back into console gaming until the Super Nintendo/Genesis and Turbografx years. Since then I have gone back and collected almost all NES games.

Looks good. Since the player sub is in water it should not come to a complete stop but keep floating for a bit.
-
Looks great. I have to wait a few weeks to get one. Hopefully you have some left.

I have been working on a memory match card game also. I started putting it together after I had the Sharknado trading cards done. My version is strictly old school match the pairs and does not use sprite images, but it is all Atari 2600 related.

Abstract co-op arcade game "ATOMIC DISCO" for testing
neotokeo2001 replied to graywest's topic in batari Basic
Very cool concept. I would love to see a one player version incorporated into the game as well. You would lose the charging particles aspect but maybe you could have other particles that do different things. To spice up the game you could have large and small particles, particles that have diagonal movement. Really bad particles that knock you back further and maybe one that will allow you to recover a little back to the middle. And there is the always hated reverse or psycho particle that reverses movement for a few seconds. -

I have the same problem. Tried it every way and still just a text link. -
I will be going to Free Play Florida 2015. I plan to have a high score contest and some other home brew games available. I hope to finally meet a few people I have seen on the forums for years. Just waiting on the details as to the when and where. The contest cartridge will be ALIEN MENACE. http://youtu.be/gm3L153nL24?list=UUWGMfmmfXDyeLMlKCZ4V51g

I would let the player suffer a little longer in their defeat. Have the UFO on the ground a few seconds before going to the Game Over Screen. Since the player can get extra points crashing into the cow, how about a sound effect to show that something happened.

Sell it in one large lot, or break it up?
neotokeo2001 replied to Christophero Sly's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
Easier to sell as a lot. Take a little time and break up the lot you will make more money. Shipping a large lot is fine as long as you package it correctly. -

neotokeo2001 replied to neotokeo2001's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
I just received the HUNGER SHARK boxes and everything looks great!! I also got an O.K. on the final BIN on real hardware. The manual should be ready in a day or so. As soon as I get an update I will start taking payments. All 50 of the HUNGER SHARK boxes. Unfolded. Anybody want to help folding them?? -
I like the look that you have here. Looks like a HUD in a fighter.

There won't be as many copies of TWIST'R-SHARK so I will have to look into it and see what can be done.
