While testing Sonic The Hedgehog 2 (Mega Play version) on MAME, 1 player mode works fine but 2 player has only one level that works and thats the special stage level. The other 3 just turn black and thats it. Is it something i need to use or is because that part hasn't been emulated properley?

Can someone please tell me the name of the game where you have a tresure hunt thing & payday & all other activites on certain days of the week (Saturday, Sunday etc) but all I can remember are the words Thank God It's Friday were somewhere on the game. If you know please tell what game it is
