  1. I started building a devkit over the summer. Basically the plan was to take a cart, run the ROM lines running to an edge connector on an FPGA board with 512k of memory so i could run it as a mapper emulator. Other idea was that on pressing a switch I could make it bank over the 512k flash with a debugger and get the machine state back.

     

    started a degree since then so not had time to finish it I'm afraid...


  2. I think its also down to emulator accuracy on the c64 - you're hard pushed to do something that will break VICE no matter how hard you push the timing tricks, atari emulators haven't quite hit the same level of accuracy yet.

     

    That and turbo assembler and an action replay isn't a bad setup on the real hardware :)
