      I wouldn't be surprised- a combination of changing interests in game style & difficulty using the original equipment means less people are interested in the older machines.

       

      Those who are tend to just want a few games as an example of pre-crash gaming, not as a serious platform. Can't talk someone into obscure rarities when Combat & Adventure cover their needs.

      I went to a local used game / movie / music store the other day, and I had to ask for the Atari games, which they kept behind the counter in two boxes.

      I look at high-priced examples of pre-crash material and just say why. Thinking about it all feels like a complete and utter waste of time, a backward move into the quietus. Stillness. Not vibrant and dynamic.
