  1. So apparently Onkyo is the last company making a multi disc CD changer.  I still enjoy putting in 5 discs and selecting Random: all discs...

I used to have a "6+1".  Had a 6 disc cartridge and a separate tray for a single CD.  Don't remember the brand... possibly Kenwood.  That stereo system got fried by a lightning strike on my apartment building.  Later I got a Panasonic Surround sound thing that had a five disc carousel type changer.  It was a CD and DVD player, so you could load up five DVDs I guess (I never tried it, though).

I remember going to a party back in the early 2000s and marveling at their sound system.  Had one of those Sony 100 disc changers.  Or maybe it was 200... all I remember is the guy had a three ring binder with printed out pages in plastic page protectors that showed what disc was where and what songs were on it.  All I could think of was, "Man, this is how the rich live."  lol

Sounds kind of like me;  I kept buying 6 disc changers for my bedroom (Still have one, plus a spare for the future)...For my living room I bought a 200 disc Kenwood, which is Awesome!  The Kenwood has CD Text so the song titles show up on my comp CDs.

Also, they say the 5 disc carousels break down less often as they have less moving parts, than a 6 disc magazine style...My Kenwood, which is Great if you have the room operates kind of like a jukebox I think...It's like this,  in case ya wondered...Kenwood CD-423M
