I wish you could just buy Microsoft Office without it being a subscription service. To me 365 just means you are paying for the same software every day of the year. Great what convenience!

  you can get Office 2007 on Ebay for less than 30 bucks. I've been using those programs for over a decade and they've been perfectly cromulent.

  Everything is going to subscription model, and it's supremely annoying. As someone who uses quite a bit of software that's licensed, my yearly software costs have gone up considerably thanks to being forced into a subscription model where previously I'd buy a license and upgrade when I need to (if at all).
