  1. Snagged one of the last few copies a few years back, but will take a look in the am for you in the "usual places." If you can't find it for Jag CD you should just snag the cart version. It was produced in high numbers along with the retro fun version 8biteer (also commonly available on cart.) Both are good alternatives to the hard to find Full Circle Rocketeer for Jaguar Cd
  2. 1,289,993 It took a half ounce of psilocybin for me to really get into this game. But once I did there was no return.
  3. Best Jaguar game that was never made: Centipede 2000 by Jeff Minter

But then, it could have been the same sort of monstrosity that Defender 2K is....

I would have been missing that game. :,(

It would have been renamed Gridrunner 2000.

  4. So is there another soccer game in the Jaguars future?
  5. The truth is I like the regular Jaguar controller, it's really a just fine piece of hardware. The pro controller is in my opinion the best controller Atari ever made.
  6. The three button Phillips controller is pretty decent and surprisingly ergonomic for the times. Just needed a pause button.
  7. 604,854 What a great game! At least as good as Tempest as far as I'm concerned. Will have to take a few more runs at this one..
  8. Participation point pretty please! My schedule has been rough the past few weeks.. Score 3050
  9. I was playing Jaguar high score club games last night and realized I was wearing my Jag HSC t shirt.

  10. Can't wait until basketball thing is done so people at work stop talking about it. And election. And every other dumb "in the news" crap that people like to jaw Jack and yuck it up about. People just bore the crap out of me sometimes....... :|

Well..retro gaming, philosophy, sociology, and business for starters. I'm more of a car guy too than a sports guy. Oh well you can't win them all. I do watch football but just can't get into bball or hockey

I can not get into fake Jaguar protos and football, but I love Basketball.

      Well there you go! :)

  11. Sweet thanks! Very helpful. Interesting to learn some history on the cart as far as who has owned it on AA lol..
  12. I won't name any names but I bought it from a very regular member of (and contributor to) the Jaguar/AA community who I have from purchased from before, will purchase from again, and trust completely. Thanks for the feedback thus far. I don't have an old PC or Alpine so I doubt i'll be looking at the code anytime soon! The title screen certainly is unique compared to my BSG copy.
  13. I had the opportunity recently to buy this cartridge and picked it up. I was told this "Gold Battlesphere" proto/developer cart is actually the finalized version of the original Battlesphere that was demo'd at shows before the game's first run was originally published in 2000. The port on the front is where the ROM was loaded from the alpine development unit. I am excited to add it to my collection and am curious to know more about it. Does anyone: -Else have one or has seen one? -Know about this version and the date? -Any other assorted info or stories? Thanks, and excited to learn more about this cart.
  14. Okay, came across a new once recently. Games that are either in weird, hard to replace packaging (Such as 2/3/4 disc games) Or the cartridge is an odd shape or has a ridge on it, or is huge, and won't fit into standard game storage cases. But to the first point! There are so many games from the 90's that have 2,3,4 discs and finding DVD cases for them is always a pain in the ass..
  15. You said it. Have been looking for Attack of the Mutant Penguins for a little while now but refuse to pay $80 for the game given it's rep as a somewhat odd and mediocre title.
  16. Thanks again for this, going to give it a try tonight and hopefully get it running. If I can get my CD drive up and running I may actually invest in Papyrus X!! I have been writing a lot on Marcel and really enjoy word processing on the ST.
  17. Must be making boxes, all those game case inserts exist already http://atariage.com/forums/topic/227944-jaguar-custom-game-hard-cases/page-3?hl=%2Bjaguar+%2Bcustom+%2Bgame+%2Bhard+%2Bcases&do=findComment&comment=3465913
  18. Welcome the system is a heartbreaker and a money taker. Enjoy.
  19. Can you even use TV tuners for handhelds now that broadcast signal is digital (GameGear and TurboExpress, etc.?)

Some college campuses broadcast in analog still.

Those tuners have composite input so your Game Gear and TE can display something. Not much use, tuner is more of novelity item now.

I remember in Newfoundland my GG TV Tuner could still pick up NTV clearer than my TV antenna would!!!... one of the few stations to keep broadcasting that way, until around 2014... I'm sure some small places in Canada/US must still use it for the sake of "small town life"...

  20. Sounds incredibly tentative...
  21. Nice, I am looking for one right now to complement my TG 16 and TurboEverdrive Deluxe.
