Any other thoughts, guys? I'm scratching my head here, to say the least.
The 'AstroBattle' looks like like some botched homemade job, for sure, but then WHY on earth is it on an UltraVision cart?! Seems quite unneeded. I mean, if it IS some sort of frankenstein thing, why not do it to, say, a Combat cart or something dirt-common?
Ahhhh, the questions....
Is it possible somone had a broken plastic cart back in the day and swapped rom chips to a different cart?
The stickers might just be some kid who had lost the original lables and pasted on a sticker from a book club or something?
I know when I was a kid I friggin put stickers on damn near everything LOL!
Just an Idea, I'd leave them alone as well...kind of cool.

Hi I picked up a picture lable copy of Video Pinball for the Atari 2600
I noticed the lable is printed in all lowercase letters. All my other atari games have all upper case letters
AtariAge website guide only shows an upper case text version.
What's up with the lower case letters?
Rare, Common, any ideas? I paid $1.00 for it, it has a small tear on the top lable.

I had a 2600 as a kid in the 80s we had 6 games, my neighbor had a coleco with some cool games...
I got so bored watching my friends always play NES mario & zelda they would never give up the controlers
I ended up playing guitar, playing in a band, restoring old cars, and a million other hobbies I have had.
I have not played a video game in 20 some years, I found the old atari last week, I got it working again
Its still pretty cool after all these years, I'm not a die hard gamer but I can play those old games for a while
and not get bored, some games look so simple but can be just as frustrating as a new complicated system.

I saw that too....Color is a Cool Band, That was a Cool Shirt, Cool Show.
I'm a huge IRON MAIDEN Fan
We need somone to write an Atari 2600 version of ED Hunter.

Not sure what exactly I have, but you are welcome to the ones in the pic. Its just good karma, man.
I've done the pay it foward thing before with old antique car parts, it works out well

Thanks Alot, PM sent!

I've got a few commons in not-so-great shape in my market thread. Send me an address to send 'em to, and I'll get them out to you in a bit, if you'd like.

Where is your market thread? I'd like to check it out. I'm looking for a nice copy of yars revenge, the guy at the flea market was out of that one right now.
I've been finding common games arround here for $1-$3 so I'd hate to take some freebees away from somone else who needs them.
I really appreciate the offer though - Thanks!

LOL! No need to go to all that trouble, really - I was just making a friendly observation.

You'll find all you need to know, here, and much more still - have a ball!
No problem, LOL! I like to be different anyway.
I cant wait to get some more games soon, this site is great for finding out about them before buying them.

Do you go to the Too Many Games con in Philly in June?
No I'm not a die hard gammer, I just got back into this, trying to learn as much as I can about my old 2600, newer video games never really interested me much...I suck at playing them LOL!

How many volts should an original Atari 2600 power supply put out? I wonder if I have a failing power supply.
I check my original power supply with a volt meter and it reads 13-14volts DC, the lable on the plug reads 9v DC
Is the higher voltage due to the power company supplying 120v today instead of 115v back in the 80s?
Should I worry about the higher voltage damaging my 2600?
How many volts is too much for a completely original 2600?
Any advise would be appreciated

New Guy here, I Love the site so far!
I grew up in the late 70s early 80s I always liked the Atari alot, I was about 5 or 6 when my parents got an Atari 2600 (about 1982-1984ish)
I never bothered to play my sisters nintendo NES very much, I moved on to other interests...now 30 some years later I'm back into it!
We had 8 games and I still have them,
Target Fun - 27 telegames
Pacman
Space invaders
Street Racer
Home Run
Football
Math Grand Prix
Barn Storming (I really love the old Activision Games)
My friend accross the street (in the 80s) had a colecovision and I rember the games he had were really pretty cool
Sir Lancelot
Spy Hunter
Congo Bongo
Qbert
and a few others I dont rember
I was just at a flea market and picked up , congo bongo for $5 , Qbert for $2, and Atari's Superman for $1 (It would be my luck that spyhunter & sir lancelot are friggin rare & expensive.)
About a week ago I dug out my families old light 6 switch "Sears Tele-Games - Video Arcade" i got it working again by cleaning the game contacts with a q-tip & rubbing alchohol
The system works really good on an old tube type TV my wife had since highschool.
I used a coax to RCA adapter from radio shack and it works well.
I have some questions about the system but I'll ask them in another post so the info does not get burried in a "new guy" post.....thanks for having me!

When we moved to our new house my new friend in the new neighborhood had bought a 2600jr new arround 1986, I remember playing the heck out of that in his basement.
River Raid
Chopper Command
Atlantis
Donkey Kong
Pole Position....fun times I loved that game.

I consider myself lucky to still have the exact same console I grew up playing.....who knew in the 1980s they would be considered "classic"
