Nice graphics and smooth scrolling!

No developments per se, but I think there was a prototype catbox sold at one point prior to 2012 that had a comlynx jack. Still no software for either the lynx or the jag to test or take advantage of that though.

The bomb ability reminds me of Gates of Zendocon on the lynx. That game gets flack sometimes for being dull but the bomb mechanic is fun and good imo.

Do wolf or doom use additional buttons for strafing? I think I recall the SNES version of wolfenstein might have strafed with the L and R buttons making it perhaps the only version of wolfenstein that allows for circle strafing I think Skyhammer uses number buttons for strafing as well, which would be nice if they lined up with the pro controllers L and R

Oh interesting, you can get a mini 3do, dreamcast, 2600 and others too https://www.shapeways.com/shops/doctoroctoroc?section=1%3A6+Scale+Consoles&s=0

I don't even know what to think about this. Would it be cool to have as a desk toy? Seems like it would be tiny, like 2x2 inches. https://www.shapeways.com/product/8DU8LCCS9/1-6-atari-jaguar?optionId=60291325

All prices now include free shipping. The items still for sale are only what is listed in the text on the first post. -
Looks cool, wish it was a game that I was more interested in though such as Xevious.

I just had this thought after seeing the frog on the box, what if you had frogger with the digital effects and soundtrack of tempest 2000. That would be epic.
-
I saw a Japanese version of Zarlor Mercenaries for sale earlier this week from a seller in Japan. Box looked identical to other regions including english text on back, but the manual looked different - color cover page and presumably was in Japanese.
-
Maybe it would have been like larger versions of the flat lynx cartridges/cards or like turbo grafx/pc engine cards

Cool, I'd never seen the top image on the page before. Is that an artists rendition? Kinda reminds me of a cross between the Jag and the 2600 jr
-
I'd buy one. Either just an unpulated motherboard that is a replica of the prototype duo motherboard, or a fully populated replica motherboard, or a fully functional jag duo including plastic case. I guess my room is probably full of concentrated fumes from my jag.
-
Are there any components that were supposed to go on the board that were not found in a standard jag and jag cd? Always liked the jag duo case, kinda reminds me of a 3do.
-
I couldn't find any when I bought mine for the small boxes. I'd be interested in 1 as well for my blue lightning box.

Was that back in the 90s? Or like, Hasbro Atari?

So what's the best strategy for badlands - keep adding to speed? Keep adding to tires? Equally add to both? I seem to do pretty ok without trying until I get to the fourth or fifth race, and then it becomes a struggle sometimes. I haven't cracked what is the most efficient path but I actually think adding to tires over speed hepls more than I expected it to. Also, has anyone made a UGC insert for Badlands yet? Keeping my eye out for that so I can get it displayed with my other UGC housed Jag games

New full color gfx mode also for LCD mod and emulators
sirlynxalot replied to enthusi's topic in Atari Lynx
I always liked seeing game cut scenes and endings in old 8 and 16 bit era games, these breaks from the gameplay could do something like display a much more detailed full screen picture of your character or vehicle, tell a little story via text and provide additional detail or atmosphere to interpret and enjoy the more rudimentary graphics of the gameplay segments. This new detailed color capability could certainly be used for stuff like that, full screen ending, intro, cut scene or menu images. -

Wow looks cool, I like the colored landscape. -
Is Sonic classic heroes gone? Is this the one with the chaotix characters and levels from sonic 1 and 2? Or the earlier version that only has sonic/tails/knuckles?
