Can the original hardware actually be AV modded? I was told a modded Flashback 2 was the only way to play 2600 cartridges with AV output. Is it significantly more expensive to get one of these than to pay someone to mod a Flashback 2?

If no one is able to do it, could someone at least assist me in finding someone who would do it for me.

I'm considering purchasing an Atari Flashback 2, and I was wondering if anyone on here would be willing to mod it for me to play original cartridges, as that is above my skill set. Please let me know how much you would charge for a mod, provided I pay for both original and return shipping. Many thanks in advance.

Works perfectly, includes the original gray power supply and the joysticks, paddles, and keyboard controllers work. I tested all the games and I got every one but Codebreaker to work.

So, I found this today with a Sears Tele-games six switch console, 22 games (all commons) two joysticks, paddle controllers, and two keyboard controllers.

This is it, actually.

This is the 5200 and Pac-Man. The controller is probably one of the better working 5200 controllers. I'm definitely going to get some more games and a Wico if I can find a place to get one. Is the Trakball worth getting? What is the SD? Someone also pointed out I am one of the very few people to even own a 5200, and probably the youngest at age 19. Interesting...

I just got a 4 controller Atari 5200 with all the cables and two controllers and also three games (Pac-Man, Congo Bongo, Pitfall!) and just tested it and it all works! I am glad to add that to my Atari collection along with my Vader Atari 2600 and 2600 Jr.

I got my first and so far only Atari 2600 (it's a Vader model) in October 2013 with one joystick and 26 loose carts including Pac-Man, Ms. Pac-Man, Donkey Kong, Combat, Warlords, Pitfall, Defender, Space Invaders, Mario Bros., Frogger, Q Bert, Missile Command, Grand Prix, Asteroids and some lesser known carts. I got it from a man on Craigslist who had it sitting in his basement for 15 years and had been trying to sell it on Craigslist for $15. It works great! The only issue was that the switchbox that came with the console went bad, but thanks to the information on this site I got the inexpensive F-Connector to RCA adapter and I have a clearer picture than I ever have! I'm actually only nineteen, so I didn't grow up with Atari and it was referred to occasionally in a positive light by my aunts and uncles and as a running joke amongst my peers when talking about modern games of inferior quality, but I've purchased a 2600 and I've been extremely happy about the purchase for the last few months!
