I got a copy with everything but it was a generic plastic box and I'm looking for a more authentic box. thanks for this link, i found it there. what an annoying site. I emailed them to see if you could still get one.

probably a LONG shot but im trying to find box for adventure II for the 5200.

know this is old but....how did/do people remove the pink glue without hurting anything?

can anyone also point me to the parts needed for the power mod? I have another 4 port on the way (after selling my original one) and I want to do that as well.

so is there something else wrong here? how can controllers act so wildly different on every game? So confused now. one controller, the joystick works fine on a bunch of games but none of the fire buttons work. On other games the fire buttons work fine but I can never go to the right. Other controller is the complete opposite of the first one on every game. Neither works correctly on anything except for missile command. Both joysticks work fine there, but one the one the fire buttons work. I can tell the one joystick isn't adjusted or something because of where the crosshair starts and that it can't hit the far right of the screen. I effectively can't play anything.

well with pitfall, neither controller works.

cool I can try that. thanks for explaining that to me. I'm hoping this will solve my issue with games other wise I'll need to start looking at the board and the connection for the controller. EDIT: so question... testing missile command with my two controllers before adjusting anything. 1 controller, cross is centered on the screen and I have a full range of motion. after each round cross centers itself the other controller cross is not centered on the screen and I do not have a full range of motion to the right. after each round cross starts not centered. so is this still the same problem, the controller or something else? Again, if I try to play pitfall I can't go down with either controller and various of the games just work/don't work randomly with either controller.

bumping this super old thread because of this reply....can someone explain this? I can't play pitfall on my two port, neither of my controllers work with it. They work ok on other games but now they are starting to have issues with just about any game. I've been playing lots of berzerk lately and one controller every so often I could get him to go to the right my othercontroller was just fine with it but now they both have the same issue and firing in that game is now problematic as well. can someone explain this pot adjust ment thing?

So...I have a suitable tool to pop the top....but how hard is it to remove them? Feel like I'm going to break the controller. tips?

forgot to add. this is a 2 port board.

Pay the shipping (medium flat rate box) and it is yours. Board powered on and was trying really hard to display something. No idea what is wrong with it.

both work but I was only able to test them in joystick mode. $50 shipped in a USPS flat rate box.

sadly I don't have the drive right now to do my own modding. I've done lots of it on other consoles but just not in the mood on this one. Rather have someone else do it for me and just use the 2 port for the ease of the power already being separate.

so I can get a whole new board for $35 bucks? geeze, that is amazingly cheap. think I will just go that route and then have it AV modded and then also sell off the 4 port and all the duplicate games I got. I'd rather the 2 port so Idon't need to deal with that funky power thing and I will never play a 4 player game anyway.

is there a way to test the GTIA chip or where cn you get another one? I did try a different cable. didn't help.

i can sort of see stuff on the screen. I bridged betwwn the socket and that raised leg on that one chip. the system is trying to display something. There is no sound either.

so I don't need to start a new thread. I also have a 2 port 5200 that powers on but no video. Weird thing is I took it apart and there is some kind of POT or whatever that has a hole in the shielding where it looks like you can mess with it. that piece was bent way over under the shielding. Also...I see this. This pin is lifted up. is that normal?

Is there an easy one out there? Like a board and everything? I've modded some other stuff in the past (7800, gensis) so I feel I could do it with some really good instructions/photos. I have two 5200 on the way and would like to av mod one of them.

Looking for a 5200 with all the hook ups and at least 1 working controller.

are there any example codes out there to help get one started?
