Well, this is disappointing. Would've loved a reasonably-sized (for me at least) GG classic with a bunch of games. Don't need more display stuff.

Here's a question. Is there a way to delete/hide games you aren't interested in? Don't have one yet.
-
edit- never mind; answered my own question...

Did they ever fix the issue with the panel art falling off? I saw the plexiglass thing, but was hoping they'd simply improve the art quality instead. I know I can't expect the world for 300 bucks, just wondering.
edit- I see the mention of the deck protector, so perhaps not. Haven't been following this much lately. -
If they can get plenty of SMS, Genesis and Turbogfx stuff I'd go for it. Still looking for a semi-replacement for the lamented Wii Virtual Console. I see a 'dollar' price, so maybe it's worldwide?

I'd love nice, clean new versions of most 8/16 bit era systems.
And I'd really like nice, clean new licensed carts to go with them.

My parents bought me a pong clone around 82 or so. Fun little system, though my 2600 got most of the playtime.

Not sure about materials, but I'd be concerned about the bottom edges scraping or cracking when I set it down (I use hardwood flooring) or try to set it onto a cart/dolly. Never owned a cab and not sure if it could be built to withstand that or not. I don't really have anyone that can give me a lot of help moving it around.

Yeah, I can think of a slew of oddball arcades (besides the usual Namco/Williams/Atari collection stuff) I wish I could get on a machine. Maybe they'll sell expansion packs like some other multicade companies do.

edit again- and after the fact I see the reply to the same question on the other thread. Sorry.
Is it 400 games or simply 'more than 250?' Saw another press release (apparently Oct 17) saying the former . I realize 'more than 250' isn't contradictory, just wondering what the end target number will be closer to, if that isn't privileged info at this point. Thank you.
Dang it, I replied to myself instead of editing. ed-Think I got it fixed now.

deleted, see below.

I just wish they'd license a bunch o' SMS games (with their usual quality) and put them on a multicart for me to use that nifty adapter with.
-
Sigh. If only...Possible online store to purchase additional games?
-
Hi K, oddly enough I've been thinking of something similar. One of those little media PCs and a gamepad.

Kinda drifted off. Rarely look for games on ebay for games anymore. Too sick and not enough money or motivation. When I'm on ebay, it's usually sports cards. Usually playing more recent strategy games. Might upgrade my 3ds sometime. I'd have to see a wider range of classic downloads for me to get into Switch.
Kind of tired of seeing the same retro games available for download/disk collections, too. The same 30 or so Genesis games and so forth.
-
Okay. Had seen this old thread, but didn't know if it was true or false. Weird, interesting story.

So all of the Venezuelan stuff over the years is good? I like to buy boxed retro computer game lots, but get paranoid when I see nice-looking Microcomputer Games-Avalon Hill stuff. Just curious.
-
The one nearest to me just sort of disappeared. It's not like I don't go there fairly often. Must have been a lightning fast sale. Guess I shoulda read the writing on the wall (like it being mostly dead for years) and stocked up on Wii U stuff.
Went to a liquidation sale for the second-closest TRU, but no games I could really use.
-
Checked the two around here, nothing. Dang it.
-
Intriguing...
-
Curious- are there any Atgames Genesis systems that don't have the 'filler' games? It's kinda confusing figuring out exactly how many actual Genesis games these things have.
-
Wonder if they'll expand on these. Would like a bartop if it'd be cheaper. For $400 I'd want a lot more games though. Nice to see more retro-themed products out there after the other messes we've seen.

Saw a couple complaints out there about the controllers. Figured if I got a Gold, I'd just use original wired sticks/paddles. Anyone know if a CX78 (that 7800 pad-ish thing) or a Jag pad with the Best Elec adapters would work on them? These days I really prefer a pad. I'm one of those few (around here, it seems) that knows zero about technical stuff and just likes old games.

State of the Collection: Stagnant.
Not enough money, too much overpriced poop. I miss the late 90s- early 2000s. Sealed Turbo Duos, Jags everywhere new in the box. Wish I'd gotten started in the early 90s; I'da been a rich zookeeper by now.
Trying to clear out some of the junk and keep the best items and stuff I may just have a soft spot for. Haven't been looking for games, except vtg. computer lots for resale (I know, shoot me).
Mostly I just wish we'd see more niche compilations or a GOG for 80s games...sigh I miss Turner's Gametap.

That would be rather disappointing, as with my luck I'd likely not be there at that particular hour. I'd like to get something nice and new to play my Lynx and GB carts without having to fight off a flood of flippers and WATA investors.
