  1. Alhough there is a thread titled "The Official Thrift Find Thread," I figured since this isn't a thrift find, that I would make my own. I have been getting more serious into collecting, and have made a lot more purchases on Craigslist, Ebay, and other places online to "grow" my collection. I decided that since I come across a lot of deals and purchases, that I would go over every "pickup" that I come across. I have already started the youtube series, but will keep adding to this thread as I obtain more games. Here is episode #5 of my "Video Game Pickups" series. There is lots more to come, but for now, let me know what you think!
  2. Yes, I know that you have to open the cart to verify that it is indeed legit. But, just by looking at these photos, can anyone verify that it looks legit? I know that sometimes the stickers on tooth protector carts were placed upside down (like the one I am showing). If it seems to look legit then I will be driving a ways to further look at this cart. Any opinions appreciated
  3. Hate to revive an old thread but it sounds like your RF module or face plate's touch sensor is going bad. I actually fixed an xbox like this a week ago. it was FULL of cockroaches and cockroach poop . Anyways, I just cleaned it out and replace the RF module and it works flawlessly now. Hope this helps.
  4. lolwut. You can RGH and dual nand them...
  5. Whatever you do, purchase a 360S (slim), not a 360E (current version that looks like the Xbox one). The cons of the 360E is it has one less USB port and no touch sensitive buttons. The pros are the fan speed is a little quieter and stays slightly cooler internally.
  6. Sounds like you need a pot tweak. Just make sure you have a multimeter (you can find them online or at your local hardware store) and follow any youtube guide. Just make sure to WATCH THE VIDEO before you do any tweaking to the laser pot. If the video doesn't show the use of a multimeter, don't bother. Just find another video. It's a very simple fix. If that ends up not working then it is possible that one of your rails may be out of alignment.
  7. I don't plan on flipping it, I just wish there was an easier way to verify that it was legit. Referencing from earlier comments on this thread, you can't reproduce dust like picture 2 shows lmao.
  8. And when I open it, what exactly am I looking for? I was told NOT to open it up because it will damage the sticker.
  9. I'm a night owl. One does not simply live in the daylight as a night owl. But yeah hopefully someone can find an answer in the morning.
  10. Can you link me to a guide on how to open the cart? I don't want to damage it at all.
  11. Craigslist. I honestly didn't even see it in the picture on the ad listing.
  12. Picked up a lot of 2600 games today and came across a Halloween cart. It has the creme colored board without the plastic security piece that protects the board (apparently wizard video games did this with all of their games). The cart has the ridges on the side as well. Is there anything else I should look for?
