  1. True Story Status _ ...Confirmed: http://atariage.com/forums/topic/243178-collectable-status/
  2. Hahaha! Absolutely not. That game has become one of those titles though that, is apparently, so poor, that I somehow want to pick it up to try it. But, to hark back to Cyrano's point earlier, I really can't be arsed buying sh*tty games, just to fill shelf space and, I feel RHero is, most probably, just that. However, I will say, on a per-percentage basis, there really hasn't been many NeoGeo games i have played that have ever been anywhere near bad. At worst, average. Maybe RHero falls below the bar though, huh? NEEGEOO NEEDID SUPACRISS, DIN IT?
  3. You had me right up until Supercross CJ. Then, I'm sorry... you crossed the line. If you we're actually good at the game, I'm sure you'd feel differently. Supercross is a game that requires skill, capability and dexterity. But you wouldn't understand. Maybe if you spent more time getting good at Supercross instead of saying it's sh*tty. Maybe then you'd understand. Maybe then. But then only maybe. Maybe not? Who knows? Maybe? ### Places CJ on ignore ### Yeah. That's right. Come back when you've learned how to be good at Supercross. Maybe then we can talk. Until then. Maybe...
  4. Fair point. Still... Feels a bit like splitting hairs tbh; like deciding which sexually transmitted disease you'd prefer to contract: gonorrhea or herpes...?!?!
  5. Unfortunately, the Jaguar is the console that, had we not received DDV... we would have been 'gifted' an Arcade Perfect port of DD3 instead A no win situation, for sure...
  6. FYI, before we go 'down this road', Dr Clu is our resident Bubsy Expert/Grandmaster. Fact
  7. To be fair, I can't really disagree with this point. Any game can be made to look unbearable if the player is unbearable to watch too. Games can be made to look much more favourable if played properly, something you NEVER See in YouTube vids (for example).
  8. Add me to this list of those waiting, covered in pre...
  9. Harsh, unnecessary and, generally, just plain untrue. I don't hate the Jag (far from it) nor do I think '95% of Jag games are terrible'. Jesus, for my sins, there are Jag games I like that many really don't (i.e. Dragon/Bruce Lee) and... I even stated, elsewhere, that I actually extracted enjoyment from playing f*cking SuperCross 3D!!! There are VERY FEW instances where I say that I think Jag game 'x' or Jag game 'y' suck, however, I really do feel that Fight For Life is one of them. Regardless of whether you, or someone else stated "FFL totally blows away 32X and the original Saturn versions of VF", I could never, ever agree with them. No matter who it is. Even if Yu Suzuki came here and agreed with YOU personally, I'd disagree with HIM too! But honestly, you're interpretation of my 'attitude' towards the Jaguar... you have it quite wrong. Sure, I don't buy into the whole 'Jag could've done x, y & z' scenario-based bullsh*t, however, I AM fair, realistic and try to be objective about the Jaguar and, as a result, I love MANY games for the system. Just "sayin'"
  10. Makes a bit more 'sense' when you put it that way. VF is more combo orientated and twice as quick. If you like slow 3D fighters, you should maybe check out Bushido Blade for PS1. It's all about the moment of battle rather than the combo's and the lifebars. It was a bit of a sleeper hit tbh. By Squaresoft too, no less. It's a PS1 only title so, if you're one of those anti-Sony/anti-Playstation types, I'm afraid this one could be completely off the menu
  11. I know, right? However, Technos managed a really decent one-on-one variant on the NeoGeo, only 9 months after the Jaguar/SNES/MD version released so, no excuse really. The irony is, BOTH the NeoGeo and the Jaguar would have both benefitted immensely from both games being scrolling beat em ups instead tbh. The NeoGeo didn't 'need' another fighter and the Jaguar didn't need another lazy subpar 16-bit port...
  12. Well... I'll be honest; your comment doesn't really make any actual sense. Does it? "I want to get it and play it properly"... implying, you don't own it and haven't actually played it properly and... "for what it is, I actually prefer it over Virtua Fighter"... Again, ambiguous. What do you mean, 'for what it is?". A 3D fighter? If the answer is yes then... it's not me you need to apologise to. It's yourself! VF is (arguably) the first ever 3D fighter and the 32X and Saturn versions alone, destroy FFL. But then, if you sit down and play them both properly, back to back, it would become clear within minutes anyway
  13. It's not the most accurate of analogies, but I'd 'almost' feel it's acceptable to advise that KN feels more like MK1 and UV feels more like MK3. Almost (read: Almost in Jaguar terms... as in, "we" almost got Quake, Tomb Raider and... Assassins Creed for the Jaguar, if you follow?)
  14. You realise this is a one-on-one fighter (like Kasumi Ninja) and not a scrolling beat em up... right?
  15. Another thread I forgot all about from a few months ago. Still interested in hearing any further opinions (thus, the bump ) Interesting, overall, to see the votes - pretty much - split right down the middle, although, overall, most feel that it IS a worthy addition to the Jag library!!! Quite surprised tbh...
  16. It's been 6 months since I put this 'piece' of research together. Came across it accidentally but thought I'd 'bump' it, just in case anyone missed it first time around who may want to have a look at it. FWIW, I really haven't touched DDV since writing this, however, if held at gun point and asked "Which is the worst fighting game for the Jaguar?!" I'd still answer: "Fight for Life"
  17. It's been discussed before but, the whole UV being better than KN... UVortek IS better than KNinja overall, but there are a few areas where Kasumi Ninja is superior. 1) Animation: UV only moves along at approx 25fps vs KN's silky smooth 60fps. FYI, it is VERY rare for a fighting game to run at less than 60fps on average. Only decent exception I can think of is the original Soul Edge. Quite noticeable nowadays, but luckily, didn't affect the playability/responsiveness of gameplay, unlike in UV, which does 'suffer' somewhat. Not terribly, but noticeably. Some nice animation of Alaric's standing fighting stance for example. 2) Overall resolution: KN's is higher. A lot of UV"s backgrounds look very undefined by comparison 3) Graphics: I realise that art style is subjective and I actually like the style of both, although, UV's IS superior and much more in keeping with MKII & MK3 (unlike KN which is more like MK1 i.e. movie backdrop style settings). However, KN features many layers of parallax scrolling/scaling, of which, NONE of this, at all, is present in UV. Surprising considering the sacrifices made to run the game at half the framerate it SHOULD run at. Personally, I like both games and wouldn't have one without the other, however, I do agree that - overall - UV is the better, more imaginative title overall and - most importantly - has better characters, of which, a good many are really cool (aside the Rock/Liquid characters... not into those sorts of characters in games anyway, but don't mind beating them into oblivion!) As has already been suggested, regardless of these opinions and facts, you really need both!
  18. Same old same old Lianne (Trust me, we've done this list many times before ) '3D' Wolfenstein 3D Doom AvP Iron Soldier Iron Soldier 2 Missile Command 3D Tempest 2K Zero 5 Cybermorph (yes!) I-War Val D'Isere '2D' Super Burnout Power Drive Rally Rayman Ultra Vortek Protector SE NBA Jam TE Flashback Another World Worms All imo, of course No doubt there's bits not mentioned you'll like (i.e. Kasumi Ninja, which I like too, but wouldn't put on the list vs your criteria plus 16-bitters like Raiden, Cannon Fodder & Pinball Fantasies too) but thought I'd keep it reasonably concise vs overall quality
  19. Near jizz-worthy post: Then: ... ......
  20. Now you've confirmed your sexuality, here on the forum, you will no longer (ever) be able to tell the difference between those genuinely engaging you in chat, here on the forum, and those who are chatting to you SPECIFICALLY because you are a woman. If you get me? Anyway, FWIW, a "Necrobump" is when someone replies to a really OLD thread that has been dead and buried for a rather extended period. This is heightened further when the "bump" is a pointless response to a 4 year old post (like yours, just being honest). Chances are, opinions/feelings etc, per member, have changed since half a decade ago. The only time "Necrobumps" are seen as acceptable are when a member comes forward and properly resurrects the thread with a fresh, lengthy/detailed post, almost rebooting the thread. 'TravisTouchdown' has managed this successfully a few times as of late (i.e. something along the lines of "Late to the party, but just got this game now and wanted to give my opinion/views on it...). Necrobumps are annoying if nothing of any value, whatsoever, has been 'added' to the thread, bringing it from the dead needlessly. Usually, a fresh, new thread concerning the subject matter and what you wish to discuss is near-always the best course of action. Hope that all makes a modicum of sense among the rambling...
