  1. Erm... just remember your password. That should help instead of getting 'full retard' angry at the site itself!
  2. You aged bad. (p.s. Immercenary is really ambitious for its time. Never played anything quite like it. Pretty overlooked I reckon)
  3. Wow. Did not expect this. Fantastic work guys. You're a real credit to the Jag community. There will be plenty who are really happy about this. I won't be partaking myself as I'm not the platforming type, although, the LE version is really tempting, just to be part of the history tbh... but I'll let someone else have 'my' copy Congrats on a really cool release.
  4. Yep. Dreamcast too: No EA titles.
  5. Based on the commercial Jaguar releases, I think Another World is the most ambitious and fitting 'after life' title yet. Feels as though it SHOULD have released on Jag bitd tbh, alongside Flashback & Pitfall etc. Also, what about the likes of Philia & Elansar? Surely they're borderline commercial quality in their execution vs the standard of the medium available for the Jaguar commercially? Whateverthefuckever, I'm really looking forward to Rebooteroids. No one, in the Jaguar forum disagrees. And, if they do, they're lying. Jaguar Forum Polygraph based Technology®
  6. Excellent stuff. How you getting along with it (re: what games do you have, etc)
  7. I bought a Vita TV/Playstation TV, just so I could play this at home, on the big screen. Was WELL worth the £45 entry fee. Would have preferred a dedicated PS3 PSN release, obviously, but err... "Atari"
  8. It's tit for tat. Most of the Jags best games, equally, can be found on other platforms too (Wolf3D, Doom, Tempest2K, Rayman) but, like T2K, the best version is at home on the Jag. Similarly, most of the 3DO's flagship titles were better on the 3DO itself. Like the Jaguar, it's still relevant in it's own right.
  9. Didn't realise you could ACTUALLY get a hold of these: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Atari-Jaguar-Custom-Painted-Plastic-Console-Replacement-Covers-White-Base-/111498788611?hash=item19f5d87f03 Can't deny it, there would be something immensely amusing about housing your Jaguar in an ACTUAL 'Imagin' dental camera case, complete with the logo and all! Just as interesting (imo), you can opt to receive the case, complete with fancy paint job and NO logo... which would look pretty smart imo - - - Silver and White looks really nice imo
  10. Ah. It's that Sonic vs Bubsy game that was being developed by SEGA, exclusively for the Jaguar, as part of the after settlement licensing agreement. Well done for finally digging that one up guys! Thought it was lost forever, I'll be honest. How fabulous...
  11. It's NEVER suggested, but just get the Saturn version. It's the best of the 3 releases (Jag, PS1 & SAT) anyway...
  12. He was right. X3 was "ok", but lacked the personality, charisma and charm of the originals, especially 2000. Sony went gone dun f*cked up...
  13. Yeah, I seem to remember that, after a period of testing in some countries (read: esp. Scandinavia) the Jaguar was not legally allowed to be released under penalty of Federal Child Abuse Recognition Services Quadrant Penal code 129, sub-paragraph 3, section 2b. Definitely rings a bell. It's all really vague in my own mind, but the framerate and distinct lack of decent anti-aliasing in-hardware vs poor texture mapping capabilities and vivid use of colour via vector and gourad methods were potentially seen to cause serious injury to the developing eye's (in particular, the retina) of children under and up to the age of 18. Rayman, in particular, had to be held back in terms of production/release by UbiSoft directly, as a bug in the Jaguars architecture caused the game's graphics to be output at twice the pixel resolution of the PS1 & SEGA Saturn combined, leading to nausea, migraines and vomiting in under 18's. Typical Atari/Jaguar related fiasco I'm afraid. Banned outright in Scandinavian continents for this reason and had to be sold, behind closed cabinets (i.e. not on physical show) in Germany, France, Italy and Spain, in very limited quantities to adults of 18 or over (21 or over in Germany). All these factors lend heavily to the collectability and stigma surrounding the console. Hasbro have shouldered much of the blame, along with SEGA's failure to meet license obligations, however, Scatologic have since been deemed the major detractors in this whole debacle. All this really means, basically, is that you're absolutely right in everything that your saying Tkat5200 re: concerns over the Jaguar's collectability vs the product itself.
  14. Sounds silly, doesn't it, but I also suffer from the same issue. In the final seconds, involuntarily, I have a near heart attack from the anxiety, having watched the item I dearly want for the last 9 days or so! It really isn't at all good for my health, thus, I hate auctions as I really can't control that reaction! Unless it's BIN or has a Best Offer option, I really don't bother...
  15. NES001 Syndrome, huh? Maybe if he popped the "Gold" sticker on there, in that condition, he could muster around $800? But $1200 dollars for Battlesphere "Vanilla" in arse wiped condition... bit of a hard sell. As usual, the greedy, uneducated seller can barely read or write, as evidenced by their hasty description. What a surprise // *** the ongoing correlation ***
  16. I just don't see it with games. The medium is too deep and varied vs comics, cards, stamps. Games, I feel, are almost their own thing really. Different hardware required to enjoy gaming catalogues accurately... physical gaming slowly being phased out, year by year... Modern gaming pushing many older gamers and those with a sense of imagination, simple gameplay and less inclined towards movies and reality, back towards retro games. Granted, indie devs and so on are constantly trying to strive for retro classic goodness by forcing 2D visuals and pixels down our throats, but the games still feel and play too 'modern' It's hard to pin point but... it's true. There's currently a lot of appeal at looking back at older, forgotten or misunderstood platforms, as well as uprooting the unknown from well-established platforms and taking delight in acquiring and experiencing it first hand. Like many here, having been buying and playing games continuously for the best part of 3x decades, I'm not seeing a shift in the current increasing pattern we have been observing over the last 10 years. It's even worse now, as obscure platforms (3DO, NGPC, Jaguar, etc) are also getting whisked up in the madness, not to mention some of the originally more financially viable retro platforms to collect for (DC, MD, Saturn). As a NeoGeo collector, I have never seen prices decrease either. They just go up and up and up. It's usually a simple case of, if you can 'afford' to buy it now for 'x' crazy price, do it, as it will be 2x this 'crazy price' in 1 years time! I know,, I've been seeing a lot of, now, unattainable titles...
  17. Ahhh right. Ok. I was gonna say: a pointless, degenerate, retarded piece of sh*t. But err... I suppose "Scumbag" is more concise. Yes.
  18. 4 posts above yours, 3 days ago... one sold for $75. $75. See ya.
