  1. Are there any current UAV boards available? I need to get one for my XEGS.
  2. Yep, if only the UAV was easily orderable, but I think that is the way.
  3. Envy....that seems to be the way to go. In the interim, is there anything to do about the black and white output?
  4. Good idea - now just have to wait for UAV boards to be produced again
  5. I thought antenna - but was worried about the quality (and I do have OTA antenna on this already)....
  6. It 'works" when connected to Green - BUT it is black and white only (no color).
  7. My wife has banish my XEGS to my bedroom LED TV which only has HDMI and YPbPr inputs (no internal converter). After a failed attempt at using this - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01EHL1JXE/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&psc=1&linkCode=ll1&tag=atariage&linkId=05e4ff056d97af9f74570ca233e5c65a, I am curious if I have any other options to get output into either of those formats?
  8. I just got in the mail my SIO2SD. In looking at the pic at assmebly at http://www.lotharek.pl/product.php?pid=49, I see six wires, but the red one is left disconnected. Where does it go? I tried searching for threads on assembly but couldn't find anything. It seems straightforward, but that sixth wire caught me offguard. Any thoughts on gauge of wire to use?
  9. I'd also like this. Anyone do this on a XEGS?
  10. Is this still possibly going to happen? I have a few Activision carts that clean, crisp new labels would really help make look better.
  11. It is the TIA chip. I swapped mine and all is good.
  12. Well - the main issue was the TIA chip. Swapped it out and vert hold is fixed. There is a little interference - but I suspect that is the capacitor - so that is next.....
  13. Okay - I will replace that. I'll also replace the chiclet capacitor next to it (Service Manual says to replace the chiclet as well so I will do that). I'll report back here - seems like I find a lot of forum posts about V hold issues on Vaders - but no one every has fixed it.
  14. Thanks - part of my question is whether this may even be a cause for the rapid rolling or if that is likely something else...
  15. Throwing one more thing on the fire - the large 2200uf capacitor has a slight slash on the left hand side - could this be it or would a failing capacitor likely cause other issues?
  16. I have a Vader with a horrible scrolling issue (see http://atariage.com/forums/topic/222809-scrolly-wiggly-screen-atari-2600a-restore/) I noticed the 2200uf capacitor on the side has a slight slash that has a rust-like substance exposed. I am not sure if this is the issue but before removing and replacing the TIA chip, I thought I would give it a try. Anyone know where I can buy a replacement capacitor? Is this correct - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007ZL0H6O/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=390957&tag=atariage&creativeASIN=B007ZL0H6O&linkCode=as2 or is this - http://www.jameco.com/1/1/25028-a2200-16-capacitor-aluminum-electrolytic-axial-20-2200uf.html ? Does Radio Shack carry this? Is this even potentially the issue on my Vader?
  17. Did you ever figure this out? I have almost the exact same issue on a Vader 2600A. I cleaned all contacts and rechecked the solder joints. My 2200 uf capacitor has a small crack in it - could that be causing the issue? My screen looks like this:
  18. More specifically - could it be the TIA chip?
  19. I haven't found a game that works yet. Could it still be the RIOT chip?
