I have a auto fire attachment (in fact 2 of them) somewhere, but for the life of me I cant find them. -
No, no! Failure in the market = bad product. Lalalala, I'm not listening! Oh, I didnt know that, I should throw my 5200 out then. Ah, now see, there is a different perspective completely to me! Everyone familiar with both will have a preference on systems, but not necessarily based on the same criteria. While commercial will typically equate to weighting variables like library and title selection, it won't compensate for pure technical ability. It's kind of like the Beta/VHS argument, or the Bluray/HD DVD debate. The winner isn't always the better from a spec point of view. For me, the CV wins over the 5200 for a few reasons. I like the size of the CV better. I like the larger library of games. I like the versatility in controllers, but never could quite get used to the 5200 controller. (I have no probs with the CV controller as I first picked on up when I was 8 years old and adapted to it rather quickly, but I still feel the Super Action controller is the 2nd greatest home console controller behind the Epyx XJ-500 lol) I like the rather simply access to replacement parts and units at a reasonable price. And most of all, I still have the emotional attachment as the CV was the system that made me feel like the 'cool kid' to all the other friends who were still 2600 owners back in the day. Stupid as it sounds, not all votes are rational and logical... I mean, look at the last Presidential election! I enjoy both systems, I like the CV library better though, the 5200 was too many rehashes of other games from the 2600 or 8 bit computers...not enough originals. But that aside I still love my 5200.

By the way, even if the 5200 sold less units, it doesnt make it a lesser system.
-
You personally counted them? Maybe I did.
-
I do know for a fact that the CV sold 6 millions units, as for the 5200 I have no clue. Also I have found many more CV in the wild than I have ever found 5200's.

Once again way off topic, and all you just did was prove my point that you worship him LOL. I also do know a lot about atari, Hey i knew the coco nuts thing that he was so happy to make a topic about. And it is pretty funny that u mention it...people on pokemon forums are a lot smarter than all of you.. now thats sad. You should not be proud. I guess i just have an extremely low tolerance level for stupidity and ignorance which this site is famous for. It wasn't famous for that until you came along.

Coleco caused more damage to the games industry then Atari.

Im not trying to argue with you but how can one say in 83-84 "VIDEO GAMING IS DEAD, THE FUTURE IS IN COMPUTING!!!!" when the arcades were always packed and they were constantly getting new games each week and it never slowed down? Home video gaming was dead, the arcades were coming out with games that could not be produced at home like now. Dragons Lair and such were keeping the arcades alive but these could not be made for home systems. Arcades still thrived, home video games died as people went to computers. And originally the NES was marketed as a toy, that was their foothold. -
It not very big. Infact looks alot like a slick stick size wise. http://silvermoonxtreme.com/atari/2600joypage4.htm
