Any reason why there are so many variants/version(s) of the same game
gamerz replied to carmel_andrews's topic in Atari 2600
I believe the reason some people like to collect all varients of a game is just because they are there. -
Glad you guys liked it, Stan has been doing a great job on these articles.

One more down, list is growing shorter. Pics I am still in need of are, and I know someone has to have some of these, a couple are common : 125 - Cheetah 125+ - Cheetah Taiwan 6 switch console box and system Tele Games 4 switch console box and system Duplikator - Unimex Foot Craz - Exus Freedom Stick - Camerica Mega Boy - Dynacom Personal game Programmer - Answer Pro Stick - BP Electronics Telegames Center - Sears Telematch - ? And any Pictures that may be clearer than some that I have. Also if you have any iformation on any controllers you would like to share that would be great. -
Its the WIP name. http://www.atariprotos.com/2600/software/e...e/labyrinth.htm I'm aware it is the WIP name.... I was wondering if he had a proto, the label looks pretty flashy and it looks like it was made late in the production. Since its a CD, it is probably a reproduction.

The person that sent me the photo said it is without a doubt a Newport stick (he was a well respected member of AA here at that time), it is a possibility G.A.M.E.S. contracted Newport to make their sticks. Interesting. -

High score lists in older console games... pointless?
gamerz replied to mbd30's topic in Classic Console Discussion
Interesting. How long did they usually keep these games running at a stretch? Did most arcades turn them all off at closing? Heck no...any arcade that did that would not even be visited by the majority of players back in the early days. In addition, anybody spotted unplugging or switching a game off would be in pretty deep sheep dip. Owners just left them running 24/7. If a game was popular enough, profit payed many times over to keep it (and it's neighbors) running constantly. It's not uncommon to see image burn-in on old monitors as a result. Aladdin's Castle turned them off at night. -
I always thought that Buck Rogers for the Adam was the greatest version.
-
Yes, something like this would be a great addition to the site.

This installment of A Closer Look features both Beauty and the Beast games made for the Sega Genesis, enjoy! Both Beauty of the Beasts for the Sega Genesis

I meant Invision's test forum, not the one I set up. Things got a bit out of hand at Invision's site. ..Al

With the new forum software you can up-vote individual posts. There is also an option in the software to allow down voting, but after seeing what happened on the test Invision 3.0 forum, I'm not going anywhere near that (people become juvenile pretty quickly). ..Al Hmmm, I dont think Im the one that set mine to -999

Let us know what happens, Stan.
