179.99Which is a whopping $635.18 in today's money. Your dollars just don't go as far as they used to.
So the PS3 really is a bargain
Only difference is that the Atari was fun.

By the way, why are we arguing here, I have never heard of a CelecoVision?

-
My point is the arguing isnt "grownup", so what if the 5200 "may" be a better system, or the colecovision "may" have a better library...or even if they both sold 10 million systems or 1. Each person is gonna have their own opinions on which they like better, and if they think the other sucks, that is only their opinion...not a fact. The fighting over opinions is the childish thing here...not which is in fact a better system. As I stated in an ealier post, I like them both, pro and cons each way...it is my opinion though, not a fact.
-
Indeed it is. The 5200 is the least popular Atari console of all-time, which is why the 5200 forum gets the least amount of activity/attention out of any Atari system forum on AtariAge (except the Lynx), and why the values of 5200 stuff have sunk over the past few years.Any proof? I haven't seen 5200 prices change that much over the years.
Honestly, I don't understand all this 5200 vs. CV fanboyism. Can someone please tell me why people need to argue over which 26+ year old system is better?
Because they havent grown up yet?

Gee, wouldnt mind having these manuals for my website either.

-
Also looking for any game, manual, box scans for any game any system.
Thanks
-
Need just a few more pictures...please help complete this.

I have no problems with the Colecovision controller, in fact I do like them alot, a little hard on the hands is all.
-
Ugh, you slave driver, I'm writing as fast as I can! And I'm doing some damn fine work I'll tell you. Someone should hire me to write descriptions for their manuals, I'm talking top shelf stuff here.
The NES database is coming along very nicely.
I am not a slave driver, and by the way, what are you doing in here posting when you should be writing game descriptions?

-
Let me guess... you NES lovers had one when you were little kids. I was in college when it came out... not so appealing.I was in my 20's thank you.

-
Starting to get a good pile of game descriptions going, thanks to StanJr, more needed and reviews.

-
Not to rain on your parade, but if you want to start a thread purely to brag about something you might want to make sure it's actually 'brag worthy'. Thirty some odd assorted game boxes isn't exactly something to shout about around here.Tempest
Well if that isn't anything to brag about.....
Did you happen to see the 2 thousand dollar instrument on the right
???Does that mean you like to toot your own horn?

Yeah, I was only half serious there, but look at the VCRs of that time period. My god those things were humongous. Electronics just seemed huge back in the late seventies and early eighties. The Odyssey 2 was one big ass console as well, as was one version of the CD-I.Yeah the odyssey 2 was almost the size of the 5200, but that's because it has a keyboard. The CD-i was definatley the hummer or monster truck of every system ever made.
Then you never saw a Neo Geo then.

Well, I have one very super guest confirmed for Monday though I am still waiting on a couple replies so I don't want to formally announce it yet. I do hope that Albert will be able to join us again as well.
But, I hope you guys aren't sauerkrauts with your needing sleep, and get your bum in there anyway.

I will be there.

Still looking for more people to add their descriptions and reviews.

-
Personally I am not a big fan of most Sunsoft games.

Robocop
Super Spike V'ball/world cup
Rally Bike
Circus Caper
Rock n Ball
All for $5
last 3 are somewhat rare too

CD32 and Jaguar were the 2 most sucsessful 32 bit consoles. That's all I have to say. What have you been smoking?
I dont think its what, but how much.
-
I think it controls fine. In the beginning it's hard to manage, but as you get your powerups and such it's awesome. Except when you have to backtrack.I will give it another shot soon.

What games have the best 2d animation?
