How has this not been posted yet? Retro VGS

I don't want to see an ambush. I just want to see an open and frank discussion about what the final specs and feature set are for these systems they want us to front load $300+ for. -

Me and some of the folks from here and VGCollect talked about the Retro today on our live hangout Retro Reload. It won't be news to anyone that's been commenting/following along here, but I think it's a decent summary of what's going on and the perspectives from both sides. My open invite to the RVGS folks to come on and say their peice still stands. Plus at the very end you can see me get my ass handed to me by a fellow forum members Mario Maker level. -
Game Gear, ColecoVision, and 7800 from the original carts would be awesome. My systems have been restored by me to the point where I hope they got 10 years more life. But time is a fickle fickle mistress.

I'd love that too. At present though Nintendo has gone on record saying they think it'd be too tough to tackle right now. http://www.nintendolife.com/news/2015/06/super_mario_maker_producer_tells_fans_not_to_expect_zelda_maker_any_time_soon -

I hear ya. I think in the long run it will be a good thing because there are some crappy levels out there right now. I'm not even talking auto play. I mean: Start, mushroom, flagpole. I think limiting those folks to 10 uploads until they make something more worth playing is a smart move. The downside is obviously our existing uploads that may already be masses worthy need to wait for their audience to find them before we can upload more. If it makes you feel any better it seems like the key is to upload lots of (enjoyable) levels up to your max early on. You can also delete or replace levels you have previously uploaded with better versions and you keep all the stars you've gotten even after you've removed the level. I uploaded 5 and my son uploaded five. So we were maxed on uploads until this weekend. But with 10 levels in the can each one only needs 5 stars to get to 50. It's only taken us a week to get 71 stars! My son and I have played most of the levels posted here so far and left comments and stars. stardust your levels are next! Also post your levels in the SMM thread on vgcollect! http://vgcollect.com/forum/index.php/topic,6488.0.html It's all about exposure. Anyone know other places to post our levels? -

You are in luck my friend! Mario v.s. Donkey Kong: Tipping Stars for the WiiU already lets you make your own Donkey Kong levels from scratch and share them online. I hope a Metriod Maker is next. Xenomorpher, I don't think the levels are very big you should be fine. That said I'll check later tonight. I've made and saved about 40 levels -

Glad you liked them. I finally got 50 stars so I can upload more levels. My latest is a new SMB 3 themed level: 141F-0000-0055-48E1 It's my longest level so far. Like my others it focuses on light challenge with a primary focus on fun and secret paths. I'll give your levels a try today. If you like mine a lot feel free to share the codes on other social media sites. I plan to share all my favorites on my Retro Reload live hangout this Tuesday. -

Saw a Mario Maker level thread was made a couple days ago so I copy-pasted my level codes there. Here's the link for others so we can keep this thread clean: http://atariage.com/forums/topic/242755-super-mario-maker-share-your-creations-here/?hl=%2Bmario+%2Bmaker&do=findComment&comment=3321936 -

Here is four of my levels for Super Mario Maker. If you are looking for old school level design that requires skill (not luck or grinding) and rewards you for replay check out my levels and give em a star! I can only upload more levels at this point if I get more stars. I picked up Super Mario Maker on Friday and played it all weekend. Here is four of my levels for Super Mario Maker. A dedicated topic for level codes would be great. I can only upload more levels at this point if I get more stars. Betcha don't find everything on the first play through. The worst part is Nintendo doesn't let me delete his user account on my WiiU without entering his current password. So in addition to my mii. I am greeted by his, waving at me, taunting me every time I power on the console. Unless I reformat it completely I'm stuck with it. Crazy Climber> He doesn't use a cat for his avatar (at least not at present) so I'm thinking your experience was probably with someone else. Thanks for the support fellas. I've had a lot of dealings with folks on VGCollect, RFGeneration, eBay, etc. this is the first time I ever had a deal go so upside down.

Snapped up an N64 console (with power cord, but nothing else) for $10 at Savers yesterday. -
Unfortunately my opinion has changed based on events that happened months after my purchase. I go into detail here: http://atariage.com/forums/topic/87198-bad-trader-alert/?p=3290646

So this is one of those I really hate to do this sort of things. But it is what it is and folks need to know to watch out. I bought a Nintendo WiiU last October from JohnnyBlaze. He posted a topic in the marketplace (I'd link to it but he's conveniently had all the original information redacted from the original post) about selling a Complete in Box Zelda WiiU in like new condition. It had 6 physical games: Batman Armored Edition Tekken Tag Tournament Super Mario 3D World Mario Kart 8 Ducktales Remastered Nintendoland And roughly 19 digital games. Many were Virtual Console titles. But some were pricier titles like: Windwaker HD Hyrule Historia HD New Super Mario Bros U Dr. Luigi Nes Remix 1 Nes Remix 2 His claim was all the digital content was tied to the box (like the original wii) and that everything was included. I made an offer accordingly: $500 shipped. He accepted. I received the item in expected condition. Until I noticed that all the digital content was tied to his Nintendo ID. Not the console. I contacted him via AA message and he said I was wrong. I went to Nintendo's site. Their terms showed I was correct. I went back to JohnnyBlaze and asked if he used the Nintendo ID for any other consoles and if I could have the account information he used to register it. He gave me his login information and said "no" he was not using it for any other consoles. I naively took this to mean he was willfully turning his Nintendo ID account over to me. In hindsight I probably should have asked him explicitly if this is what he was doing. Thinking the Nintendo ID was now mine, I reset the password. I also created my own Nintendo ID so all my purchases going forward would definitely not be tied to his account. For many months things worked as expected and life was good. Sometime around March I got a notification on my WiiU that the password for the old Network ID had been reset again. By Johnny Blaze. I contacted him to ask about it and offered my cell # to talk it out. He sent me an agitated email and said I had no right to reset his password and that it was now tied to his 3DS. I explained to him that if he kept "his" account eventually it would invalidate all the content tied to that Nintendo ID on my console. He said I didn't know how these things worked and then stopped replying to me all together. 2 weeks later all the digital content on my box tied to his Nintendo ID became invalid and stopped working. Since April it's all just been useless icons on my console. I emailed him, offered him my personal cell #, and tried messaging in the forums. He refuses to respond in any way and hasn't logged into AtariAge since April 7th which, coincidentally, was about the time I informed him his actions had invalidated all the digital content that was part of our original transaction. I never asked for my money back and stated clearly I did not wish to return the console. But I did ask multiple times for him to contact me so we could work something out. I know he's got some positive history build up here (posts and deals going back to 2007) so this post is probably going to agitate more people than him. I sincerely regret that. Admittedly I haven't frequented these forums as much or for as long. But I do have 100% perfect feedback on Ebay and vgcollect: http://vgcollect.com/forum/index.php/topic,4883.0.html I honestly feel like I was being open and reasonable and that he is acting carelessly and irresponsibly. I've since begun repurchasing the digital content in physical form. The saddest part is if he had contacted me I would have been happy to settle for a small amount of credit to put towards rebuying just one of the pricier titles and we could have been all good. Your mileage may vary, just be careful.

Saw this at the local thrift for $10 but passed. No power, video cables, or software. Not Idea if it was worth jumping into. Gun shy on unknowns now since the cib Emerson Arcadia stuff I spent $50 on.
