  1. Thank you Willie for posting the videos of your ABC's of Atari 2600! I've missed some so I added them to my YouTube watch list to check out when I have the time. I will also check out your AtariCade videos too. I can't seem to find the Space Invaders episode you mentioned. Can you please repost the link as I would really like to see it. Thanks!
  2. For those of you who had problems in the past getting the right SD card for your flashback systems, this one with the card works right out of the box, so there is no extra formatting that needs to be done.
  3. I look forward to seeing a new video each month. I know it takes time to produce these. Wish there was a way to do 2 a month as your videos are the equivalent to the Atari 2600 Game By Game Podcast. Thanks for all your hard work!
  4. I've had mine since December and have not needed to change the batteries. They will last as long as you remember to turn the power off on each joystick.
  5. I like M-Network for Astroblast, Bump N Jump, Frogs & Flies, Lock N Chase, Space Attack, and Tron Deadly Discs.
  6. I believe dungeon stalker is a 7800 game not a 2600 game. Therefore it will not work on the FB9.
  7. If you go for the Gold, you get wireless joysticks and the option to use wired if you have them. I was unsure about the wireless joysticks because I've heard horror stories about the original "line of sight" joysticks. Well I took a gamble and glad I did! These wireless joysticks are the best! I can now sit on my couch while playing any game that requires joysticks. It really is a treat. I can also go back to using my Tac-2 joysticks by plugging them into the front. Either way it's a win-win.
  8. I have a difficult time relating to those who act like video games didn't exist before 1985. Once I see that, my interest in anything they do is zero.
  9. Nevermind, I found it on the Utopia EP. Thanks again!
  10. Thanks so much! I'm looking for Dancing on Thin Ice, but can't seem to find it in any of the downloads. Can you please help?
  11. For ideas on the missed shot sound, see Intellivision's NBA Basketball.
  12. The Intellivision was an important part of discovering the fun of video games for me. Their sports games topped Atari & Colecovision. They also made some great original games as well!
  13. I have a suggestion about the game title. Since there was only 1 hockey game for the Atari 2600 and it was made by Activision, why not continue the tradition of Atari Sports games and call it "Real Sports Hockey?" I know someone used that moniker for the Atari 5200 when someone programmed curling. Just a thought! Thanks for all you do for the Atari 2600 community!
  14. I'm in! I have Volume 1 on my shelf still and it's getting lonely! Off topic: What ever happened to your Atari 2600 YouTube videos? Those were very entertaining and informative!
  15. I can't understand why anyone would play on old TV's where the resolution and connection is inferior to today's technology. I guess if you want to have a 100% authentic experience, sure, but even if they had the technology back in the day that we have today, there is not doubt I would rather have the better resolution over the snowy picture. That's just a no-brainer! I can recall as a kid dreaming of playing on a big screen TV and now I get to do that all the time! To that I say...
  16. Those screen shots of hockey look awesome! Please try to put an actual goal on screen instead of a black box like Activision used. This would make it more realistic! Maybe re-consider 20 min periods may be too long (see Intellivisions NHL Hockey). Maybe you just have a sped up 20 min or an option to set the period length?
  17. Where are these screen shots of your hockey game? I would love to see them!
  18. I'm surprised you cover Hyperkin after they released that piece of junk that's supposed to play Atari cartridges and whose joysticks break after the first use. To me that's just as deceiving as the Namco Blast!
  19. I would love nothing more than to be able to play the original Tron arcade game on my TV at home!
  20. As much as I want to hook up my Atari 2600 to my HD TV, it just looks terrible and I can't bear to play it in that condition. I gladly play with an HD compatible device (FB9) and the fact that I can play the rest of my games off the SD card makes it a no brainer (and much cheaper) as I don't have a messy stack of carts lying around. There's no denying the screen quality on an HD compatible device is superior!
  21. John mentioned he started a hockey game for the Atari 2600?! Activision did the only version, but I would love to see what he comes up with that would probably top it. I can only hope he goes back to it and the other sports titles!
