Let me get this straight. There is a mame 2000 emulator in the flashback or did this come with a firmware update? If it came with a firmware update, which one because the one I loaded was the one with Sega Genesis/NES rom support. I'm looking for more arcade games to play and this would be a great addition!

I've had no issues with the cordless joysticks. In fact, I think these are the best ones they have come up with. I don't see the need to modify them for now.

Why would you need a sleep mode when you have save states built in? The only other purpose I could see this serving would be a screen saver for your TV...

Exactly what rmr_md said. I made an account and realized it would allow me to download any firmware I wanted without registering the serial number. I'm guessing many people complained about the issue so they just required an email account be registered. Don't forget to rename the firmware file as stated on the firmware site.

Apparently there is a new firmware update released on 12/27/18. Has anyone tried it and if so, what does it change or fix?

I've only done the one firmware update with the file placed in this forum. Do I need to upgrade the previous versions, or can I just skip those and go straight to the latest firmware? I haven't registered my console on AtGames site, so I guess I need to do that first in order to download the firmware?

Has anyone run the update and can comment on what it does?

I've been listening to this on my podcast app and it's been interesting. Basically a podcast of video game memories. It's going to cover Atari up to Playstation 1 I think? I'll probably listen through the Sega Genesis. The podcaster reminds me a little of Shinto or the No Swear Gamer. I can't decide which...

I wonder if this is a TV compatibility issue? I've not had any sound issues on my Samsung TV. Still, it shouldn't be an issue and there should be a firmware fix to address it. EDIT: After reading the other posts, it never occurred to me the SD card could be an issue. I wonder if it could also be an issue with the HDMI cable?

Just bought the Legends Flashback Deluxe Version at Sam's Club on sale for only $30! Did the firmware update and loaded up my favorite EA NHL & Madden roms including hacks. Imagine my surprise to be playing at hack of NHL 94 and Madden 93 with the latest rosters. So now I'm playing NHL 19 and Madden 19 via the original Sega Genesis graphics. I've had no sound, lag, or graphic issues. All in all, this thing brings up all my old consoles to HD. If I had one complaint, it would be to get the MAME roms to work on the SD card. However, I am ecstatic that I can play my favorite sports sims on my big screen HD TV! EDIT: Do yourself a favor and get the Williams Arcade Greatest Hits rom for the Sega Genesis, then load it on the SD card. You will now be able to play Defender, Defender II, Joust, and Robotron 2084!

Most likely a bad unit or compatibility problem with the TV. Others have reported no sound issues at all playing the same games as mentioned here.

I wouldn't do that if I were you. I have the FB9 Gold and it plays all the original Atari 2600 roms from what I have seen. It also plays most homebrews. I haven't tried things like Scramble or Super Cobra knowing you need Stella 5+ for it to work. The cordless joysticks work great. The only downfall is no paddle support....yet! Hopefully ATGames will come through with this early next year. Seeing the R77 inconsistencies with cart play, makes it an instant pass for me. We won't even talk about their joysticks!

With most of the sports games having multiple releases (i.e. football, real sports football, super football, super challenge football), there was only one release for ice hockey. It really didn't need another one because I think they got it right the first time!

You're welcome. Now do yourself a favor and upgrade the firmware so you can play additional games from the SD card. THIS thread will tell you how to do it.

I've played Pitfall II and Dig Dug with no sound issues at all. Are you playing the rom from the SD card?
