Check the list in the compatibility thread and find out. Some may or may not work. All the two player games are pointless. Games that require both joysticks do not fully function.

Did anyone confirm an 8GB card works? Are you able to try a smaller capacity card 4GB or 2GB?

When you turn the unit on just scroll left one and you are on the SD card option. Press the fire button and it will bring up the list of games on the SD card. Real simple!

Make sure you do not have spaces or characters like "@$!#&?" In your filenames. If you meet that criteria, I would erase your card and reformat it. Then load a couple games at a time on it to test it out. I am using a 2GB SanDisk card and have had no issues.

Good news for those that really want to play Berzerk! I found a way to make the original ROM work. When you first start the game you have your back to the wall, just shoot backwards and then you will be able to shoot in all directions after that. This is only the first level this happens and you are not getting shot at so no harm no foul. I haven't played this extensively, but now you can change the list to working, but flawed. Glad this one has a workaround after all!

In case you missed it, the homebrew PacMan 4k works great off the SD card and it's way more like the arcade version than the 2600 version!

Which ones? I haven't had that issue so far...

Tested some of these this morning and... Don't work: Berzerk Voice Enhanced Frantic Rally X Scramble Space Rocks Real Sports Basketball is included with the unit (duh)! Works: Incoming Space Raid (to my surprise!)

So is there a general consensus that the Tac-2 joysticks are very well made?

I have a pair of Tac-2 joysticks that I use for my Atari 2600. They seem to last much longer than the original Atari joysticks. I stumbled upon some Tac-2 joysticks for sale at a local retro store and they wanted $4 each for them. Assuming these work well, would this be considered a "steal" as I have seen these go for $40 on EBay?

You bet there is an interest for SPH2! Myself and Paul from the Intellivisionaries have come up with a short list of ideas on how to make the play better. I know the top thing was to make the corners rounded like NHL Hockey was. A few new ideas: Tweaking the AI Option to pull goalie in favor of another attacker near the end of the game Fighting option - although there may not be enough room in the code for this, you could incorporate some of your boxing code! LOL! Offsides - this will cut down on the scoring so you can't leave a guy down at the other end to "cherry pick" Maybe borrow the code from soccer for this? Increase speed of slap shot vs pass. Both are almost the same. I'm sure I could come up with more, but that's it for now. Thanks Dave!

That's what I was wondering. Maybe some kind soul who has the ability or know how to do this could produce some two button hacks for the portable?

By the way, I was thinking about how games like Defender 2 would work considering you need both joysticks to play them (i.e. 2nd joystick for using the smart bombs). I know there have been hacks for a two button controller to use the smart bombs on the same controller, but could someone please try the ROM in this thread to see if one of the other buttons on the portable would work with it?

I've read the reviews and unless I missed it, has anyone out there heard an exact release date for this in the stores? I keep reading elsewhere it will be at the end of November, but no specific date given yet. I am fine this will not be out until after Black Friday as I won't have to venture out into the over-crowded stores. My plan is to keep my eyes and ears open about a release and head to my local Bed, Bath & Beyond with my 20% off coupon and snag it for $40. That's plenty of savings without the hassle!

FYI, I'm an Atari and Intellivision fan. When I signed on here I had no idea there was an Intellivision forum. Nothing like getting the best of both worlds!

I don't know what you mean about creating a "temporary view", but I just opened it and went to the arrow to sort and it regenerated it in alphabetical order. Took three mouse clicks and done.
