I was wondering if anyone out there has built an Atari system using the retropie? Is there a resource you can use online that gives you exactly what you need to load onto the retropie so all you need to do is add your own ROMs? I am not tech savy and would need a step by step procedure of putting this together. As a side note, if any of you have put one together and used an Atari 2600 or a flashback as a shell, please feel free to post your pictures here! Lastly, has anyone had any difficulties in getting their Atari retropie to show up on your TV at full screen? What did you do to fix that? Thanks for your help!

Depends on what kind of a TV you are playing it on. If it's a flat screen the RCA hook up makes the graphics look terrible. HDMI is far better with a plug n play hook up. In fact, I've got an Intellivision Flashback modded for HDMI and it looks way better than an original Intellivision ever did, so I would want that for an Atari as well!

You've heard of the console wars back in the 80's, well now we have the flashback wars!

I also wonder if this will encourage ATGames to go with HDMI for their Atari products if the NES sells well?

I had two options after the Atari, go with the Intellivision or NES. I chose the Intellivision and am glad I did as it was a nice jump up from the Atari. Made many memories playing the sports and adventure games for that system!

Hopefully with Nintendo going to HDMI will make AtGames rethink the option of making the Atari Flashback with HDMI in the near future! Also, they NEED to dump those awful wireless controllers and stick with the wired ones...

They were replica paddles just like the joysticks. They fell a little tighter, but the sensitivity is on par with the originals. They are a good replacement if you can find them.

Thanks, I will try that one. The other beta 4 did the same thing for me (blank screen). Are there any particular settings that need to be switched as well?

Actually I haven't put this on my ultimate flashback yet. I was trying it out on my computer. I have V1.0 beta 2 and just found v1.0 beta 4. Will give that a try. Thanks everyone!

Tried running the ROM in JZINTV and got a blank screen. Then I tried the BIN file and still a blank screen. Any ideas what the problem could be?

Back on topic, I finally loaded Mystic Castle on my Ultimate Intellivision and it plays great! I was thinking of using the Thunder Castle art for it on the menu, but that just might make things confusing. Is anyone planning on doing a box art for this just to have in the menu?

I ended up buying an Atari Flashback that had new paddles with it, so problem solved!

INTVDAVE: I've always said I would like to see Slap Shot Super Pro Hockey changed where the corners are rounded off just like the NHL Hockey version and make the puck react as it normally would when getting shot into the corner, instead of coming right back at you like you hit it against a flat wall. While you are at it, I don't know if you could tweak the AI because the game is VERY high scoring! Another thing you could put in is a zamboni cleaning the ice between periods. Now that would be cool!
