  1. No store, but If you want to stop by our office and play some Jag, we have it setup in the reception area for such occasions. Would love to say hello.
  2. If I had an extra copy, I would definitely say yes. But there is no stock at the moment. We are planning on a rerelease Flappy McFur, along with a couple other things sometime in 2018.
  3. Spotted an interview with Rebellion. Some nice tidbits of how they got involved with Atari. http://metro.co.uk/2017/12/04/25-years-of-rebellion-from-alien-vs-predator-to-2000-ad-and-beyond-7129407/
  4. Though there isn't much of a resemblance, this brings back memories of midi-maze. Looks great!
  5. Best logo loader ever. Looking forward to playing this!
  6. I have a few pro controllers already. But the opportunity to get them replaced or help others to have the opportunity to play a Jag with better controllers than the standard ones, with out having to shell out $200 - $500 for that experience, deserves support. Current prices really are extreme right now, it was only a few years ago I got one for under $100, on Ebay. I find it hard to believe that the demand/rarity has increased that much in such a short time. But if there is really a demand that justifies the sudden price increase of pro-controllers on Ebay, hopefully that demand will support the effort to make new ones at a reasonable price.
  7. Destructoid did a small article. https://www.destructoid.com/games-are-still-releasing-for-atari-jaguar-468718.phtml
  8. It seems that any company that does business card embossing would be able to pull it off, but maybe not with the same material that was used for official overlays. I am stopping by my printer today, I will ask and see how hard it is to pull off.
  9. http://gdurl.com/RDth The jag can do an assortment of overlay effects that simulate what alpha transparency can do. The AVP hud is an example of this, and also the shadows in some of the 2 player fighter games do this as well. http://gdurl.com/U0ZW The domes in Missile Command 3D seem to be using a combination of dithering and an overlay effect, which is a fair approximation of what alpha blending might look like in a similar scenario. There is obviously a hardware implementation for clipped transparency (a 0 or a 1). But if I had to make a guess, there probably isn't a hardware implementation for float precision alpha transparencies (I am not sure if this is even the right terminology for what your asking...). I don't understand all the intricacies of how that works, but it seems like something could be done at the software level to pull it off, but at a processing cost too large to be practical for a game. https://youtu.be/lvwUwuTzZGY?t=1m37s One game that still fascinates me is the use of overlay effects used for transitioning menu elements in and out in BattleMorph's main menus. Pretty smooth stuff, and to the layman, looks like they are using alpha blending.
  10. Looking into it. Nothing definitive yet. We are hoping to have something lined up before the end of the year though. We will post when we have more concrete news.
  11. No solid information to give at the moment. But we are looking into it.
  12. I have been here for a few years, and I personally have never felt this about anyone here at all. Sure there might be a few individuals trading between each other for a gain, but I don't believe it is indicative of the entire culture on AA. It confuses me when people say things like this, "It's a well known fact". It's almost like they want to perpetuate the bad feelings generated in threads from years ago. Please, let it go. Your asking everyone here to give Jeff some slack, why not allow people here who offended you or someone you know the same privilege. He did make mistakes. Selling bootleg of other people's work is something that will quickly get you on a crap list, anywhere. There is no valid excuse for it. Because people are willing to call him out, and make it sting a little, certainly doesn't make our community toxic. If anything, calling it out shows that we care about our hobby and respect the hard honest work of everyone who contributes to the console, no matter how big or small that contribution is. When people sell bootleg, it hurts those people who honestly contribute. Not to mention the damage to self respect it causes to the people who make, sell, and buy bootleg. That is toxic. It's good to hear that he has begun to pull down his listings. Bootleg, along with selling obviously buggy software, and trying to sweep it all under a rug with excuses that may feel weak to some people, is why people on this particular forum are not happy with Jeff at the moment. It is better to be trusted than to be loved. Right now, because of this past behavior, Jeff has lost trust or damaged trust with people on this particular forum. I understand I am speaking for allot of people when I say this, and my explanation may be incomplete, but this seems to cover most of what I have been following the last few weeks in this thread. It was awesome to see the negative feelings at the beginning of this thread change to something more positive when Jeff was willing to make changes. I hope he continues to do so. As with any situation where trust is damaged or broken, it takes time to earn that back. I hope Jeff is willing to do that, and I hope he understands that trust doesn't come back overnight for most people. We have an awesome and unique community here, and I believe it is worth every effort to maintain the trust that is here, and build new relationships with people who are new to the forum, or have been here for many years. Despite Jeff's mistakes, there are people here still willing to give good constructive advice for his game. This should be a clear indicator that we don't have a toxic community, and that we make efforts to avoid being toxic. As for people lashing out, it does happen, and it certainly isn't the best way to handle the situation. Are there better ways to mitigate these kinds of situations? If you have a better suggestion for handling people who create bootleg and sell obviously unfinished products, please, let everyone know not just how you feel, but how we might handle these situations better in the future. Simply complaining about "elitist snobs" being the source of everything bad in this community, telling everyone that they should forgive Jeff, and then saying "bye", doesn't get anyone anywhere. I would call this "lashing out". A little more on topic. I am excited to own this game someday. It's just a shame that because of Jeff's behavior, I don't know if I am getting a product that is in a finished state, or still filled with distracting bugs. A very ambiguous situation has been created around this game, which is sad. I guess we are going to have to wait for more videos of it in action.
  13. I have been waiting a while for the Orion_ collection to pop up again. Listening to Orion_ on Twitter, I was beginning to lose hope of ever getting a copy. I am really going to miss his influence in the retro-gaming realm . I hope there is enough interest in this, it would be nice to give Orion_ a little bit more monetary support before he bows out.
  14. Looks fun. Would be cool to see this show up eventually. Almost like an extension of Rampage. Rampage is on the Lynx. I have never played the arcade version myself, but this version has always been a blast to play.
  15. +1 for all of them. I hope a few more of the AVP carts get made.
  16. It's a bit uncharacteristic that you havent received a confirmation formation of your order from their site. I have ordered a few things from them in the past without any issues as well.
  17. Electrocop. Can't get enough of the theme song, and the gameplay is solid and fast.
  18. Here is a video captured off of the Jag with a Skunk. Not thorough. Covers gameplay on a few levels for a few minutes. Afterwards, a quick pass through each level. Looks like it could be an in between IS1 and IS2. It has been a while since I have played IS2 though. Compared to IS1 there are different buildings, at least 1 different enemy on one of the levels, and textures all over the place. Targeting for the missiles and grenade launcher. Some of the levels have some missed placed textures that look like brown ground, but you aren't able to walk on it which leads me to believe they meant to put the water texture in those places. Again, I would need to compare to IS1 and IS2 again, but I believe most of the levels generally are from IS1, but my brother ways saying there might be one from IS2? It seemed a bit faster than IS1, but there was no music playing, and there could have been some code optimizations between the finals of IS1 nd IS2. Anyways, fun find if it wasn't already available elsewhere.
  19. Put me down for one please.
  20. I just contacted them through Ebay. Hopefully it's a simple mistake.
