  1. I've added the "MODULE keyword" session close to the top. Now it looks much better! Thanks @zbyti
  2. Ah, perfect! Now I get it - I wanted to come up with a problem if we don't do what you just said. Perfect! THanks!
  3. Hey @zbyti I was thinking about the MODULE keyword and trying to find a good example of when use it. I can see its use is more for something like this: PROC FUNC1() .... RETURN MODULE CARD THIS_IS_GLOBAL=[10] FUNC MAIN() ... RETURN But can you think in a good example to use it when using includes? Only doing the above seems not enough to justify its use, don't you agree? Thanks
  4. Oh, yeah. I missed that! Good call. I will update it as soon as possible. Thanks!
  5. Finally another part is done. Not very deep, but useful for people that are starting. https://vintageisthenewold.com/going-into-action-with-atari-xl-xe-part-5-modularization-and-distributing-your-program/ Comments and corrections are welcome!
  6. @Faicuai, thanks for the explanation. That matches with what I am seeing in my Atari, seeing the composite signal. I wonder, is it possible that my Rev D board doesn't have the S-Video output. TBH, at this point I am happy with the results, but I am curious since I know nothing about that! Thanks
  7. Hey @zbyti, I've been busy with some other stuff (TRS-80 little game), but i have already an article 90% ready, and I am starting to think the next steps. Hopefully in a few days, I can post it! Thanks for the "incentive" btw That helps me keep on track! Cheers
  8. I am trying to make the same mod and my results are the same as @Madi. Only B&W pictures. My Monitor/TVs ( tried with 3 different old LCD TVs with S-video input) all have the S-Video input connector which I am using, but the color only is present if the C54 is connected. When going through the monitor Inputs, there is no specific S-Video input option, and the Atari image is shown in the AV1, which would be the same as if I am using the yellow RCA connected, instead of the S-Video. I even tried a small converter S-VIDEO -> VGA I have and the results are the same The image is immensely better with the C54 connected but I don't understand what is wrong. BTW , my Atari 800xl board is a rev D (it doesn't have the C56 for example). Any ideas? Thanks
  9. I am finally ready to present a new product that I have been developing for the past month. Any feedback is appreciated!
  10. Ha! I just proved I am a terrible detective! Thanks!
  11. @Vorticon, I wonder if this Martin Mangold is here on Atariage. This seems newsworthy! How can we talk to him? Thanks!
  12. Of course, my brain was just waiting for me to post the question to tell me the answer. I've found it here https://retrogamesultra.com/2019/10/24/adding-authenticish-labels-to-atari-sdrive-max-cases/
  13. I've searched but couldn't find the post (I don't even remember if it was here). Not long ago, someone was showing off 3d printed cases mimicking the Atari 1050 drive and this person used a metallic tape or something for the badge and printing the name on it. Does anyone know what I am talking about and where is the link? The closest I've found is this one, but it is not what I was looking for. Thanks Paulo
  14. @holgibo I didn't get my magazine yet. I've became a member after the magazine was shipped to members so I am not sure when I would get it. I checked your pvt message and sent my votes via email THanks Paulo
  15. I've found instructions for the password "somewhere" in the ABBUC website, but that never worked for me. In my case, I joined ABBUC only recently so that could be the case...
  16. Ok, shame on me. Looking at this box makes me remember it now.
  17. I have played them all to record a video on the website channel. It is a solid contest for sure with very different games. Some simpler than others, but there is no lack of creativity for sure! I think Last Squadron is the best. Oxygen is also very good, but with some gameplay flaws (maybe I am just bad at it). The Lady is a simple fun game, and gets extra points for the graphics - they are gorgeous! I found the Tree simulator entertaining and Disc o' Pop is the one I played the most - something with the physics and how the discs break that kept me hooked! Agent B.R.D looks great but my zero knowledge of German doesn't help me to enjoy the game. I've played a little pausing the emulator to translate things, but as you can imagine, that is not the best way to enjoy a game.
  18. I have zero recollection of that. Do you know if in that case they were imported or manufactured there?
  19. Wow, you are right. I completely forgot that the Intellivision II was sold there circa 1984-85!!!! Thanks for the reminder! I have updated the first paragraph based on my now refreshed memory Thanks @Intymike!
  20. In the 80s I was living in Brazil. Now I am in Canada. Cheers
  21. Oh, I believe it was @zbyti that said that. I haven't tried 8bit-unity yet.
  22. Fair enough. Thanks for your help. I don't think that is really a problem as long as it is understood (by me) Cheers
  23. Whoops, good information in this thread - Glad you remembered, but it hasn't change the outcome.
