Cerebrate sold me some games I've been wanting to play for a long time. He was really nice to deal with, packed the games very well, and shipped very quickly. Thank you for the games and the great forum purchasing experience

I also picked up some games and they were packed very well, were in good shape, and arrived very quickly. KeeperofLindblum was also very nice, and quickly responded to my messages. A pleasure to purchase from, thanks so much!

[re-post from a dupe thread] I've done quite a few deals with Austin here on the board and he is always incredibly helpful with my questions, gives me fair suggestions, and always a below ebay price. Super nice guy deserving of peoples business. If he's selling something you can be certain you're getting a fair price, it will be described clearly and accurately if not pristine condition, and will be packed safely and securely. A great member of the community, and a pleasure to deal with. Thanks Austin, I appreciate all you've done man.

The Official Turbografx 16 Thread!
Gredler replied to Rick Dangerous's topic in Classic Console Discussion
I dont know a ton, though I know there are. The best one I've had/played of is Parasol Stars, which is basically bubble bobble. A+ Game imho. Second to Parasol Stars is TV Sports Hockey - get that game if you have a turbo. I really feel like anyone with a Turbo should have TV Sports Hockey. It plays like the EA 16 bit hockey games, but the goaltending is more like NES Ice Hockey or Blades of Steel. The faceoffs are exciting, which is hardly the case in most hockey games, and the fights are really good too. Ontop of the praise I am giving it, justifiable praise, it is also one of the cheapest turbo games you can get. I got mine for 12$ shipped CIC. The rest of my Turbo games are single player, but have heard about other multiplayer games; I've never had friends who played it, so I never got into Bomber Man, but I hear that there are great versions on the Turbo/PCE. I also hear the Turbo version of Street Fighter II CE is very smooth. Dungeon Explorer and Dungeon Explorer II fall somewhere between gauntlet and diablo, fun multiplayer action rpg. -
Sorry to crap on the thread, but I found most of these games on flebay for lower just now when I went to go check prices. I am interested in JJ and Jeff, Victory Run, and Alien Crush, but could get them off ebay for cheaper. If you want to work a deal out, send me a PM. Good luck with your sale!

The case styling is different on the PALGrafx, but I think the form factor is the same so hypothetically this should be possible albeit sacrilegious. Are the visual imperfections deep into the plastic? Maybe a quick rub down with a magic eraser will solve a lot of your blemish issues. I always get sad to hear of items being destroyed unless they're beyond repair, but it's yours to do with what you wish

For Sale - Several SNES titles and a lot more!

Hi thanks for putting these up as available I am interested in Star Wars Rogue Squadron III ( and Castlevania Adventure if LastBlade doesn't pick it up), and always wanted to find a copy of Ranma 1/2 Hard Battle back in the day, so that'd be cool to pick up as well. Thanks! -
I found one today that is Sony KV-36FS10, looks like it's not high-scan and not super fine pitch, but is 480i with automatic 16:9 adjustments. I wonder if the 16:9 auto adjustments will make it not work with light guns.. I might ask if I can bring my master system and test some lightgun games on it before paying for it. he's asking a lot for it (Relatively, 150$, http://sandiego.craigslist.org/csd/ele/4973224920.html)

I a lot of people say that a new version of the everdrive will come out soon, after which the current everdrives go down in price in addition to being a better (supposedly) option than the current everdrive. I have been considering getting an everdrive for a long while now, considering the cost of most good pce/tg16 games, it would pay for itself quickly. I have been keeping my eye on this site for the new one, I think that it's a good option but I am interested to hear what other people suggest http://shop.krikzz.com/

Let's take a look back at the original Golden Axe!

How do you feel about Beast Rider, the Duel, or Warrior? I enjoyed playing Warrior on emulator but have never found a physical copy, and have not played Beast Rider or the Duel. -
And a lot of people argue that the RX controller is not as good as other 6 button third party options.

What a relief. I am in the market for a new CRT so it looks like Rescue Mission is the testing benchmark I'll be using.

He sent me a copy of Space Invaders for SNES and it arrived in excellent condition quickly and was well packed. A awesome freebie that I appreciate a bunch - thanks theatarifan! You're theatariman!

Spreading the Love with Free Games and More... Edicion Cinco
Gredler replied to ApolloBoy's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
I just wanted to chime in and let everyone know that Atarifan gave me the Space Invaders he offered up earlier for under 3$ shipping (so free, just paid the shipping) and it came in and works great. Thanks Atarifan! -
Gosh - I really want to try this game but my copy has a weird issue. I can use the Phaser to get past the title screen, but when I try to get past the difficulty select screen nothing happens. I've tried a bunch of things, but my copy never wants to cooperate. I need to try it on a different TV I guess, but Safari Hunt and Shooting Gallery work fine on this TV. It's very weird. I've heard such good things about this game, it sounds like a lot of fun

Sorry to burst anyones bubble, and this may be company loyalty speaking, but Is the best master system game

It sounds like a upscaling issue, that because of the upscaling there is a delay in response time between visuals and controllers, and with lightgun games that time is too close to be off. I am ok with going with a 640x480/320x240 tv if I have to. I am currently looking at one that the guy wasn't sure about the model, the pic is on his posting http://sandiego.craigslist.org/csd/ele/4962830005.html I think that it is either a kv-36fv310 (https://docs.sony.com/release/KV36FV310.PDF) or if I am lucking it might be the KV-36FV1 (https://docs.sony.com/release/KV32FV1.pdf ) you had suggested lol, they look similar on the google search and documentation, so who knows. hopefully it works. Someone else just got back to me on craigslist saying they have a KV-36XBR400 - Now I wonder if that would work too.. The price is right on that one. Nope! Thanks to this research, turns out that's another "High-Scan" so the resoltion will need to upscale and likely wont work. Back to betting on the KV-36FV This wikipedia entry has a easy to reference table, so hopefully this all works out! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FD_Trinitron/WEGA

Thank you this is much more clear. I do not care for the TV to be HD because I have my HD tvs for that Is component video the HD give away, or do I need to see "Hi-Scan" or "Super Fine Pitch" to determine if lightgun games will not work? After reading this (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FD_Trinitron/WEGA), it looks like if it's a sony it needs to be "Wega", that way I know it's not going to be Super Fine Pitch or High-Scan. Thanks for the info! I was certain this was the TV I was getting, back to the drawing board I guess. So now my craigslist searching is limited to "wega" if they don't know model numbers. That wikipedia ad makes it pretty straight forward knowing not to pick a Hi-Scan or Super Fine Pitch model. Are those terms specific to sony technologies, or should I know something else if considering other tvs? I am not sure what other brands to look at for CRTs. I love my samsung plasmas, and see a lot of hardcore guys using NEC monitors.

Sorry to bump this old thread, but there were a a ton of different threads, so instead of adding a new one I randomly picked this one for my question: I am shopping to replace my crap CRT with a better one, and I see a bunch on craigslist that are 32-42" trinitrons, but I am worried that I am going to go through the effort of moving a 200-300LBS tv to have a disappointing the lack of light gun support. Is my only concern the Hz and the inputs (hdmi or not)? This is one I am looking at now, KV40XBR700 - FD Trinitron Tube - NTSC - 120v, 60Hz (304 pounds.. omg) taken from this, https://docs.sony.com/release/KV40XBR700.PDF If this is not going to work with light gun games, what can I keep an eye out for when researching the these tvs? Thanks!

Yeah, the NES version and SMS versions are the only ones I've played aside from the TG-16 Version. I've not played Super Fantasy Zone (Mega-Drive), The Maze (SMS), or Fantasy Zone II (SMS), so I can't speak to those.

GameStop to Offer Classic Consoles and Games
Gredler replied to TheObscureGamer's topic in Modern Console Discussion
" If something is “beyond repair,” it’ll get junked." This is what scares me the most. They are so quick to junk things. Like right now, they just throw away DS/Gamecube/Wii/PS2/OG Xbox games. Gamestop is a blackhole, destroying anything they can't make a profit on. Non working copy of little samson? trash it.
